Job Description

The Patient Scheduling Advocate is responsible for assisting patients with scheduling and managing appointments for physicians and medical imaging services. This role serves as a primary point of contact for patient inquiries and concerns, ensuring accurate appointment coordination and excellent patient experience within a healthcare BPO environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments for physician visits and medical imaging procedures such as MRI, CT Scan, Mammogram, and other diagnostic services
  • Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally and empathetically
  • Assist patients with general inquiries, including appointment details, preparation instructions, and follow-ups
  • Send messages to healthcare providers on behalf of patients as requested
  • Verify patient demographics and appointment information accurately
  • Document all interactions clearly in scheduling or healthcare systems
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies
  • Meet defined productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction metrics

Qualifications

  • College graduate of any medical allied course (required)
  • At least 6 months of BPO experience in a healthcare setting handling patient calls or concerns
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle sensitive patient concerns
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
  • Should be willing to work night shifts and onsite in Alabang

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with US healthcare accounts
  • Familiarity with healthcare scheduling or EHR systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in shifting schedules, including holidays or weekends
