JOB SUMMARY

The Purchasing Associate will be in charge of canvassing and purchasing raw materials, other consumables, and services. S/he will ensure that supplies are available on time based on production’s demands, and ensure that there will always be sufficient supplies for everyday operations, and with approval of the management.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, and AUTHORITIES

I. Canvassing
sourcing and maintaining reliable suppliers of materials and services needed
following up consistently with suppliers for faster turnaround of quotation and sample requests
looking for most competitive pricing of items without sacrificing quality
II. Purchasing
a. preparing and sending approved PO to suppliers
b. keeping track of scheduled deliveries
c. keeping every purchase and transaction properly documented
d. constantly updating departments of status of requested items
III. Stock Monitoring
ensuring that there are sufficient materials for day to day operations
monitoring movement and use of raw materials and other consumables
troubleshooting of unforeseen supply issues

BASIC RELATIONSHIP

Reports to Supply Chain Supervisor and Managing Directors
Coordinates with Production, Accounting, Sales and Marketing
May be assigned other tasks by the Plant Manager and Managing Directors

JOB SPECIFICATION
graduate of any four year course

has supply chain management / purchasing experience
possess good communication and negotiation skills

Willing to work in Magallanes, Makati (Mon to Fri)
