Planning and Design Engineer (Mechanical)Job Summary

The Planning and Design Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for developing mechanical system designs, preparing technical drawings and plans, coordinating project schedules, and ensuring that mechanical works are properly planned, engineered, and implemented in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

This role supports both the design and execution phases of projects and requires regular site or project visits as needed to validate plans, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues.

Key ResponsibilitiesA. Planning Functions

• Develop mechanical project plans, timelines, and work schedules.
• Prepare material take-offs, cost estimates, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Coordinate with procurement for materials and equipment requirements.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly.
• Assist in manpower and equipment resource planning.
• Identify potential project risks and recommend mitigation measures.

B. Design Functions

• Prepare and review mechanical system designs (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, piping, etc.).
• Develop detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD or related software.
• Perform load calculations and technical analysis.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams for integrated design.
• Prepare technical documents and submittals for client approval.

C. Site & Technical Coordination

• Conduct site visits or project inspections as needed to verify actual site conditions against approved plans.
• Provide on-site technical guidance and resolve mechanical-related issues.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and subcontractors.
• Review shop drawings and ensure alignment with design intent.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and project turnover activities.

D. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain updated records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Prepare engineering reports and progress updates.
• Ensure proper documentation in compliance with company and ISO standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php21,000.00 - Php25,000.00 per month
