About the Role

Vivid Painting is looking for a detail-oriented Painting Take-Off / Estimator who will be responsible for accurately measuring and estimating materials for painting and wallpaper projects. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are properly scoped and materials are correctly calculated before execution.

As the client is currently building their support team, the ideal candidate must be highly reliable, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. The role requires someone who can interpret construction drawings, perform manual takeoffs, and provide consistent updates on project progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret plans, drawings, and project specifications for painting and wallpaper projects
• Perform accurate material takeoffs and estimates for paint, wallpaper, and related materials
• Calculate required quantities based on measurements from project plans
• Ensure high accuracy and attention to detail in all estimates
• Provide regular updates on project progress and communicate any issues or clarifications needed
• Work independently and maintain organized records of estimates and project data
• Apply logical problem-solving when estimating materials without takeoff software

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating or painting takeoffs
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide consistent updates
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Experience working with U.S. clients or projects is an advantage
• Candidates with relevant local construction estimating experience are also encouraged to apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with painting, wallpaper, or construction material estimation
• Experience working as a Virtual Assistant or remote estimator
• Organized and comfortable working in a startup or newly outsourced environment
