FAÇADE BIM MODELER

The Façade BIM Modeler is responsible for all drafting works to meet project requirements for Building Integrated Modelling (BIM) as guided and instructed by the BIM Coordinator, Design Department Head, Head Senior Designer, Senior Designer, and Junior Designer.

He/She should be able to interpret drawings made from Autodesk BIM software programs such as Revit and Inventor and should be able to assist material take-offs as required by the BIM coordinator, Design Department Head, Head Senior Designer, Senior Designer, and Junior Designer.

The position is based in the Manila office and will be reporting to the BIM Coordinator, Head Senior Designer, Senior Designer, and Junior Designer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under superior’s supervision, provides BIM drafting works for external façade shop and fabrication drawings and delivers other required tasks
Under superior’s supervision, provides quantification of materials from the BIM models used in shop and fabrication drawing documents
Under superior’s supervision, projects project details to generate partial plans, developed and true elevations (as required), and partial sections coming from the building 3D model Revit files
Extracts drawings from the BIM 3D Revit file into Autocad files for 2D presentations
Under superior’s supervision, tags façade details onto plans, developed and true elevations (as required), and sections in Revit and Autocad files
Provides building 3D modeling using Revit software and Autocad 3D accomplishing all BIM requirements from LOD 100 to 300
Provides fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor Software and Autocad 3D modeling accomplishing all BIM requirements from LOD 350 to 500
Works long/extended hours when required by superiors

Qualifications/Skills and Specifications:

Candidate must be a graduate of a relevant Bachelor’s Degree or a Vocational Drafting course and must have at least two (2) years of experience in computer-generated drafting works using Autocad 3D, Revit, and Inventor software
Can do basic drafting works and must have previous experience with BIM
Must be able to understand basic drawings such as plans, sections, and elevations and be able to spot details
Must be capable of understanding basic requirements of line weights for pen assignments as required for the project
Must have the ability to do orthographic projection, 3D and isometric drawings as required by his/her superiors
Must be knowledgeable about Revit 3D software
Must be knowledgeable about Inventor software for fabrication drawings
Must be knowledgeable about drawing conversions from Revit to Autocad and Inventor to Autocad
Must be proficient in Autocad 2D and 3D
Knowledge on Inventor software use for fabrication drawings is an advantage
Must have a good quality of work
Should be efficient in multi-tasking and can work well under pressure and under minimal supervision
Should have good and effective communication skills
