Facade Draftsman

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Contractual

GENERAL:

The Façade Draftsman is responsible to do all drafting works as per the guidance and instruction of the Project Manager, Façade Senior and Junior Designers, Façade Senior Fabrication Designer, Façade Senior Structural Engineer.

The Façade Draftsman should be able to interpret the drawings once explained by his/her superiors.

The Façade Draftsman is to assist in completing material take-offs, as required by the Project Manager, Façade Senior and Junior Designers and Façade Senior Fabrication Designer.

The position is based in the Manila office.

I. Qualifications

A. General

• Must have the ability to understand basic drawings such as plans, sections, elevations, detail projections and spot details.
• Must have the ability to understand basic requirements of line weights for pen assignments, as requirements for the project.
• Must have the ability to do 3D drawings, isometric drawings, orthographic projections, etc., as required by his/her superiors.
• Must have good communication skills to communicate with her/his supervisors.

II. Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Under supervision of his/her superiors, must be able to provide drafting works for external façade shop drawings and fabrication drawings and other task required by his/her superiors.
• Under supervision of his/her superiors, must be able to provide quantification of materials used in the fabrication and shop drawings documents.
• Under supervision of his/her superiors, must be able project details to generate partial plans, developed and true elevations (as required), and partial sections.
• Under supervision by his/her superiors, must be able to tag the façade details onto plans, developed and true elevations (as required), and sections.
• Required to work on extended hours, as required by his/her superiors.

III. Skills and Specifications

• Can do advanced drafting works.
• Has knowledge in AutoCad 2D drawing and 3D modeling.
• Knowledge in Inventor and/or Revit and/or Rhino software/s to generate 3D, shop and fabrication drawings is an advantage.
• Has good quality of work.
• Can handle multiple tasks, as required by his/her superiors, under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Has good communication.

IV. Education and Experience

• At least 4 years of experience in computer-generated drafting works related to the curtain wall industry.
• College level or Vocational Drafting Course.
