Bookkeeper / Admin & Compliance Officer
Cebu City | Full-Time
Role Overview
The Bookkeeper / Admin & Compliance Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping, operational admin tasks, supplier payments, payroll processing, and ensuring full compliance with BIR, SEC, and other government requirements. The role works closely with the Owner/CEO and supports both operational and financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Records
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records (sales, expenses, inventory, and payables).
- Record daily sales and reconcile POS reports.
- Track cash flow, expenses, and supplier balances.
- Prepare monthly financial summaries and reports for management.
Supplier Payments & Payables
- Process supplier payments (bank transfer, cash, GCash, etc.).
- Maintain supplier ledgers and payment schedules.
- Ensure all payments are properly supported with invoices and receipts.
Payroll & HR Admin Support
- Prepare payroll computations (attendance, overtime, deductions).
- Process payroll payments on a scheduled basis.
- Manage statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
- Maintain employee payroll and personnel records.
Compliance & Government Reporting
- Handle BIR compliance (monthly, quarterly, and annual filings).
- Prepare and monitor SEC compliance and annual requirements.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and government offices when needed.
- Maintain organized compliance files and proof of filings/payments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance (F&B or retail experience is a plus).
- Working knowledge of BIR and SEC compliance in the Philippines.
- Experience handling payroll and statutory contributions.
- Proficient in Xero/ Quickbooks, Excel ; accounting software experience is an advantage.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy.
- Comfortable handling both operational admin tasks and compliance work.
