About the Role

We’re building a comfort-first character rooted in kindness, care, and human connection.

This is not a typical content role.

You will be responsible for:

• Turning a character into a cultural presence
• Building emotional connection at scale
• Driving rapid growth from 0 → 1M+ followers

You will work directly with the Founder and a Character Artist to bring the character to life across social platforms.

What You’ll Own

You are responsible for all social growth and content performance.

This includes:

• Content strategy
• Creative direction (in collaboration with the artist)
• Posting cadence
• Performance optimization
• Growth experiments

Your goal is simple:

Make this one of the fastest-growing character brands online.

Key Responsibilities

1. Growth Strategy & Execution

• Build and execute a strategy to scale from 0 → 1M+ followers
• Identify and replicate viral content formats
• Optimize for:
• Watch time
• Shares
• Saves
• Emotional resonance

2. Content Direction (with Artist)

• Collaborate with the Character Artist to:
• Ideate content concepts
• Guide animation direction
• Ensure content aligns with brand tone
• Translate brand values into:
• Scroll-stopping content
• Emotionally engaging moments

3. Short-Form Content Production

Oversee creation of:

• Instagram Reels
• Facebook Reels
• TikTok
• YouTube Shorts

Ensure content is:

• Simple
• Loopable
• Emotionally impactful
• Highly shareable

4. Platform Optimization

Own growth across:

• Instagram
• Facebook
• TikTok
• YouTube Shorts

Understand platform differences:

• Instagram → saves & shares
• Facebook → virality & distribution
• TikTok → discovery & trend velocity

Continuously test:

• Hooks
• Formats
• Timing
• Captions

5. Data & Iteration

• Track performance daily
• Double down on what works
• Kill what doesn’t

You should be obsessed with what makes content spread.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have

• Proven experience growing social accounts from 0 to high scale
• Deep understanding of viral short-form content
• Experience working with:
• Character-based content
• Animation or illustration-driven content
• Strong instinct for:
• Emotional storytelling
• Simplicity
• Audience psychology

Strongly Preferred

• Experience growing a character IP, mascot, or visual brand
• Experience with Instagram & Facebook virality specifically
• Background in:
• TikTok growth
• Meme culture
• Viral loops
• Experience working with creatives (artists/animators)

What Success Looks Like

• Rapid follower growth
• High share/save rates
• Strong Facebook distribution performance
• Consistent viral hits
• Strong audience attachment to the character

Creative Direction (Important)

Content should feel:

• Soft
• Calm
• Kind
• Comforting
• Emotionally relatable

It should NOT feel:

• Loud
• Chaotic
• Overly complex
• Trend-chasing in a way that breaks brand integrity

Compensation

• Bi-weekly payroll
• Track hours via Google Sheets
• Starting hourly rate: $8/hr
• High performers will have opportunities to grow into larger roles as the brand scales
• Remote | Part-Time
