Full job description
Qualification Standards:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, Major in Business Education, Accountancy, or Entrepreneurship; or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, or a related field with education units.
- At least 1–2 years of teaching experience in Business-related subjects at the high school level, preferably within the SHS ABM strand.
- Experience in facilitating business simulations, financial literacy programs, or project-based learning activities.
- Licensed Professional Teacher (LET Passer) is an advantage.
- Relevant training in the K–12 curriculum, ABM strand, and 21st-century business instruction preferred.
- Participation in entrepreneurship workshops, business coaching, or industry immersion programs is an advantage.
- TESDA Certification related to business (e.g., Bookkeeping NC III, Events Management NC III, Front Office Services NC II, etc.) is a great advantage.
- Mastery of business subjects appropriate to SHS strands (e.g., Applied Economics, Business Finance, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Organization and Management).
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Effective classroom management and instructional delivery strategies.
- Familiarity with the SHS curriculum and DepEd policies.
- Proficiency in using educational technology (e.g., Google Workspace, MS Excel, Canva, business simulation tools).
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners and learning styles.
- Willingness to coach or mentor students in business competitions, entrepreneurship projects, or research-related tasks.
- Fresh graduates with strong business or education backgrounds may also be considered.
Details of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, accurate, and industry-relevant Business lessons aligned with the SHS curriculum and DepEd standards (e.g., Applied Economics, Business Finance, Entrepreneurship, Principles of Marketing, Organization and Management).
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, business cases, and assessment tools suited to students’ interests and learning levels.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate student learning progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Provide academic and entrepreneurial support through mentoring, remedial sessions, or business coaching.
- Actively participate in departmental and school-wide meetings, training programs, seminars, and professional development activities.
- Serve as a class adviser or moderator, if assigned.
- Collaborate with colleagues in planning interdisciplinary projects, business fairs, or school programs.
- Foster a learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Support or facilitate business-related events such as business plan competitions, trade fairs, financial literacy seminars, or entrepreneurship week.
- Serve as tabulator or coordinator during school contests, academic events, or business-related activities, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of results.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Cluster Coordinator or School Principal.
