Solaric is looking for a strong, organized, and results-driven Engineering Team Manager who can lead, coach, and manage a young, fast-moving team of electrical engineers.

This role is ideal for someone who is technically sharp, highly organized, assertive, and capable of managing a large team of Gen Z engineers with the right balance of discipline, coaching, and motivation.

Role Overview

The Engineering Team Manager will help manage the day-to-day workflow, assignments, technical deliverables, attendance, performance, and coordination of the Engineering Department. The position requires an experienced leader who can think quickly, decide wisely, act proactively, and ensure that engineering tasks are completed accurately and on time. The role will support engineering operations, including site surveys, system checking, technical documentation, client technical concerns, post-turnover monitoring, and coordination with management.

Key Responsibilities

The Engineering Team Manager shall be responsible for:

  • Supervising and coordinating electrical engineers, including Survey Engineers, Site Engineers, Desktop Engineers, and Design Engineers
  • Managing daily engineering workflow, engineer assignments, deployment, and deliverables.
  • Monitoring daily attendance, absences, Saturday schedules, and reporting attendance matters to HR and management.
  • Monitoring engineer work performance and submitting monthly performance summaries to management.
  • Reviewing the daily site survey schedule and ensuring engineer assignments are properly plotted and maximized.
  • Ensuring the smooth execution of all engineering processes while closely monitoring engineers to maximize efficiency, accountability, and overall team performance.
  • Reviewing and checking technical documents such as Site Survey Reports, PV Layouts, Helioscope reports, BOM/BOQ, Assessment Reports, System Checking Reports, Construction Drawings/Design set, As Built Plans, DU technical documentation requirements for net metering or zero export, Progress Reports, and other related files.
  • Ensuring technical documents, team deliverables, and/or revisions are accomplished quickly, accurately, and submitted within the required timelines
  • Addressing client technical concerns, installation concerns, and technical inquiries.
  • Co-facilitating the Weekly Engineering Team Huddle every Monday at 8:00 AM.
  • Ensuring minutes of meetings, action items, and best practices from huddles are properly documented, monitored, and executed.
  • Maintaining proper inventory and records of engineering tools and equipment such as PQA, Megger, Thermal Scanner, and related testing tools.
  • Conducting monthly physical inventory checks to ensure tools are available, functional, and properly accounted for.
  • Ensuring post-turnover monitoring of residential projects for six months and commercial projects for 1-2 years, and maintaining complete, updated records on all relevant sites.
  • Ensuring monitoring of commercial projects during the first two years after energization.
  • Providing technical support to other departments and teams.

Who We’re Looking For

We need someone who can manage engineers with structure, speed, and accountability.

The ideal candidate must be:

  • A licensed Electrical Engineer is preferred, but strong relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experienced in solar PV, electrical systems, project engineering, technical documentation, or engineering operations prep
  • Capable of leading, coaching, and motivating a young engineering team.
  • Organized, sharp, detail-oriented, and strict with deadlines.
  • Assertive but professional.
  • Able to communicate clearly with engineers, HR, management, other departments, and clients.
  • Strong and proficient in Excel, technical reports, documentation, and engineering coordination.
  • Able to review PV layouts, survey reports, single-line diagrams, site assessment reports, and related engineering documents.
  • Able to multitask and manage multiple engineers, multiple schedules, and multiple urgent technical deliverables at the same time.
  • Comfortable handling attendance monitoring, performance tracking, and daily team discipline.
  • Must be a team player, but must also be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
