Supervisor Electrical Engineer (Planning and Design)

Job Summary

The Planning & Design Engineer (Electrical) – Supervisor is responsible for leading the planning, design, and coordination of electrical systems for construction and engineering projects. This role ensures that all electrical designs, schedules, and technical deliverables are compliant with applicable codes, client requirements, and company standards.

The position also supervises junior engineers and draftsmen, conducts site visits as necessary, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high technical accuracy.

Key ResponsibilitiesA. Planning & Project Supervision

• Lead the preparation of electrical project plans, timelines, and work schedules.
• Review and approve material take-offs, load schedules, and cost estimates.
• Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with approved plans and deadlines.
• Coordinate manpower allocation and technical resources.
• Identify project risks and implement corrective actions.
• Report project updates to the Project Manager or Engineering Manager.

B. Electrical Design & Technical Oversight

• Prepare and review electrical system designs including:
• Power distribution systems
• Lighting systems
• Panel board layouts
• Cable sizing and routing
• Grounding systems
• Low voltage systems (FDAS, CCTV, Structured Cabling, etc.)
• Perform electrical load computations and short-circuit analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and other applicable standards.
• Review shop drawings and technical submittals before client submission.
• Approve final drawings and revisions.

C. Site Coordination & Inspection

• Conduct site visits or project inspections as needed to validate design implementation.
• Provide on-site technical supervision and resolve electrical-related issues.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and architectural teams.
• Support testing, commissioning, and project turnover.
• Ensure safety standards are followed in electrical installations.

D. Team Supervision

• Supervise and mentor junior electrical engineers and CAD operators.
• Review and check drawings prior to release.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to the team.
• Evaluate team performance and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.

E. Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure proper documentation of all electrical plans, revisions, and approvals.
• Prepare engineering reports and progress updates.
• Support ISO documentation and quality audits.
• Maintain organized records of project deliverables.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
