Job Summary
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Intake / Verification of Benefits (VOB) Staff member with at least 2-3 years of experience in insurance verification, patient intake, healthcare operations, or customer support, preferably within rehabilitation therapy services. This role is responsible for verifying insurance benefits, onboarding patients and providers, and serving as an ongoing support resource throughout the care journey.

Job Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, authorization requirements, and coverage limitations using payer portals, insurance websites, and outbound calls to insurance carriers
- Obtain and accurately interpret benefit information including deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximums, visit limitations, and therapy-specific coverage for PT, OT, and SLP services
- Identify coverage restrictions, exclusions, and in-network versus out-of-network benefits that may impact patient responsibility or access to care
- Accurately collect, maintain, and document patient demographic, insurance, referral, intake, and benefit information in company systems
- Communicate benefit information and coverage determinations clearly to clients, providers, and internal teams
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and providers via phone, email, and other communication channels, responding to inquiries regarding insurance, referrals, appointments, authorizations, and platform access
- Assist patients and providers with onboarding and navigation of company technology and systems
- Coordinate with authorization, billing, credentialing, scheduling, and provider support teams to ensure a seamless patient experience and continuity of care
- Escalate complex insurance, operational, or customer support issues and assist with timely resolution
- Identify opportunities for process and system improvements while maintaining compliance with payer requirements, HIPAA regulations, and company policies
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in insurance verification, patient intake, and/or healthcare customer support role
- Strong knowledge of insurance eligibility, benefits interpretation, authorization requirements, and common payer structures
- Familiarity with U.S. insurance payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS, and commercial insurance plans
- Experience using payer portals, insurance websites, and phone-based verification processes to obtain benefit information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to build trust with patients, providers, and internal teams
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation and data entry
- Comfortable learning and navigating new technologies, software platforms, and operational workflows
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with EMR/EHR, practice management, or healthcare software systems preferred
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing business needs in a remote environment
- Willing to work during the weekend (3 sets of Schedule/s: Sunday to Thrusday, Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday)
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), or Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) practices
- Familiarity with therapy CPT codes, prior authorization requirements, and rehabilitation insurance workflows
Pay: Php40,000.00 - Php50,000.00 per month
