GL Accountant (US)

Work Setup & Schedule:

• Hybrid (Mon-Fri, 10:00PM – 7:00AM)
• Night Shift

What you’ll be doing:

• Enter financial transactions into the general ledger accurately and timely.
• Maintain and reconcile ledger accounts, records, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with different departments to gather required financial information and provide accounting support.
• Extract, analyze, and validate financial data for upload into accounting systems.
• Review accounting processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions and financial modeling techniques to analyze data, improve reporting, and streamline accounting processes.
• Assist in process automation and continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting function.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation within database management systems.
• Support audit requests and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Non-Negotiable Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, financial modeling, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Amenable to working night shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of general accounting experience.
• Experience in process improvement, workflow optimization, and automation initiatives is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage300, and NetSuite.
• Manufacturing and construction industry experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and mathematical reasoning skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
