We are seeking a Permitting Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for timely application, follow-up and renewal of permits and licenses. Specialized in the permits and compliance of project in the development stage. Manage the licensing systems and records for regulatory and performance reporting requirements, including uploading, maintenance and addressing action items in the Regulatory Compliance Management System. Provide advice regarding license and permit applications and on matters regulated by the office/agencies. Recommend or Provide solution to non-conformance’s or work-related problems and concerns through designated channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare master list of permits required for the project and establishment of timelines and requirements
- Responsible for the timely acquisition and the renewal of all licenses, permits and government approvals required by the BHRC, in coordination with AEDC Senior Permitting Associate and Legal and Regulatory Compliance department.
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Regulatory Compliance Management System.
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Regulatory Compliance Management System.
- Prepare licensing related correspondence, including renewal advices, reports and transactions documentation.
- Establish and maintain effective channels of communications with relevant stakeholders.
- Responsible for examination of the company’s (i) conformity with laws and regulations governing contract compliance of licenses and permits in connection with (ii) all permits, licenses, applications and records of the company to ensure full compliance with industry and governmental requirements.
- Comply with company policies, SOPs, safety procedures, good housekeeping, environmental regulations, quality and productivity initiatives, quality and environmental health and safety key performance measures, the Alsons Conservation Program and similar activities.
- Provide regular updates and attend meetings held by LRC, AEDC and Senior Project Manager for status on permitting and compliance
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by his superior
Qualifications:
- Educational Attainment - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Legal Management or other related course
- At least 1 year of experience in related function. Experience in permits acquisition preferred but not required. Must be knowledgeable in land acquisition process
