Emerging Power Inc. (EPI) is the renewable energy arm of Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC), dedicated to developing large-scale solar, wind, hydropower, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and other renewable energy projects across the Philippines. We are seeking a Senior RAM (Reliability and Asset Management) Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role own the portfolio reliability methods and discipline to reduce repeat failures and protect revenue. Deliver IEEE 762-aligned availability reporting, facilitate RCAs with a quality gate, and run FMECA/criticality for priority PV+BESS systems. Produce risk-ranked actions and technical substantiation inputs for warranty/claims together with O&M, with all outputs traceable and evidence-based.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Availability & Reliability Reporting (IEEE 762-aligned): Maintain event classification, availability loss views, and reliability exposure reporting for portfolio reviews and decisions
  • RCA Facilitation & Quality Gate: Facilitate RCAs for major events and bad actors; validate root-cause logic and ensure corrective actions are effective and supported by evidence.
  • FMECA/Criticality for Key Systems: Run FMECA-lite/criticality reviews for priority PV+BESS systems; translate results into risk-ranked actions and monitoring focus.
  • Bad Actor Program: Identify recurring defects and failure modes; propose targeted interventions; track recurrence and effectiveness.
  • Maintenance Strategy Inputs (RCM-lite): Provide recommendations to optimize PM/CBM tasks for high-risk systems; O&M retains implementation authority.
  • Data Quality for Reliability: Define data requirements for investigations and reliability reporting; coordinate gaps with OT and Central Ops readiness work.
  • Warranty/Claims Support: Provide technical substantiation memos, event narratives, and evidence requirements in coordination with O&M and AMG.
  • Templates and Knowledge Management: Maintain RCA/FMECA templates and trackers; coach stakeholders on consistent use.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Document assumptions, trade-offs, and owners during investigations; drive closure discipline.
  • Continuous Improvement: Maintain lessons learned and improve reliability workflows to shorten decision cycles.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Attainment - Bs in Engineering (Electrical/mechanical preferred) or related field
  • Licensure - PRC licensure (as applicable) is an advantage; Training in RCA, FMECA, and RCM is an advantage
  • At least 4–5 years of experience in reliability, asset management, or operations engineering for power or industrial assets (PV/BESS preferred); familiarity with hydro and wind systems is an advantage
  • Specialized Training - RCA facilitation, FMECA and criticality analysis, IEEE 762 concepts, Data analytics for engineering decision-making
