About the role
The Technology and Systems Development Officer is responsible for the strategic oversight, development, integration, and optimisation of TouchBio Australia’s technology ecosystem and core business systems.
The role ensures that digital platforms — including CRM (HubSpot), inventory and customer service systems, EDI/SAP interfaces, reporting tools, and emerging technologies — are reliable, scalable, and aligned to operational and commercial objectives.
This position acts as the central link between technology, operations, and business growth, translating business needs into system solutions, leading platform implementation and improvement initiatives, and enabling data-driven decision-making through high-quality reporting and insights.
The role is both hands-on and strategic, combining system administration, IT coordination, platform development, and business process optimisation to support TouchBio’s continued growth and efficiency.
Position Duties and Accountabilities
Business Systems Strategy & Governance
- Own and oversee TouchBio Australia’s business systems architecture, ensuring platforms are fit-for-purpose, secure, and scalable.
- Align system design, configuration, and development with business strategy, workflows, and operational requirements.
- Act as the internal subject-matter expert for business systems and technology capability.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, integration, and data quality across the business.
Systems Integration & Platform Management
- Lead the configuration, integration, and ongoing management of core platforms, including CRM, inventory systems, customer service tools, EDI/SAP interfaces, and related applications.
- Ensure reliable system performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Manage system changes, upgrades, and enhancements to minimise operational disruption.
- Liaise with external vendors, developers, and service providers to resolve complex issues and deliver system improvements.
- Assess and onboard new platforms or partner systems to support operational or commercial needs.
Technology & System Development Projects
- Lead end-to-end delivery of technology and systems projects, including:
o requirements gathering
o solution design
o configuration and testing
o deployment and handover
- Translate business requirements into practical system solutions.
- Manage project timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure systems are implemented with clear documentation, governance, and support structures.
Data, Reporting & Business Insights
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to support operational, commercial, and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and usability across systems.
- Provide regular performance insights and ad-hoc analysis for leadership.
- Identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities using system data.
- Support forecasting, planning, and performance monitoring through meaningful metrics.
Operational IT & User Support
- Act as the primary internal contact for business systems and technology support.
- Manage user access, permissions, and system administration.
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support to staff, escalating where required.
- Coordinate with external IT providers for infrastructure, cybersecurity, and advanced technical issues.
- Support IT security practices, including access control, updates, and data protection.
Training, Adoption & Change Enablement
- Deliver onboarding, training, and user support to ensure effective system adoption.
- Develop user guides, process documentation, and training materials.
- Support change management by guiding teams through system changes and improvements.
- Build internal capability and confidence in the use of digital tools and platforms.

Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, Operations Management, or related field (desirable based on preference).
- Relevant certifications in CRM administration, systems integration, data analytics, or project management (desirable).
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in business systems management, IT enablement, or digital operations.
- Proven experience managing system integrations and platform implementations.
- Experience supporting CRM, ERP, EDI/SAP, or similar enterprise systems.
- Experience delivering training and supporting organisational change.
- Experience working with vendors and external technology partners.
- Experience with AI-powered business applications
- AI integration and automation
Skills
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
- High proficiency with CRM platforms, dashboards, reporting tools, and system configurations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
