What You'll Be Responsible For
Financial Reporting & Month-End Activities

• Manage month-end accounting tasks for assigned clients
• Prepare accurate financial reports and management information
• Complete account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Identify unusual trends, risks, or issues and communicate them promptly
• Assist clients in understanding key financial results

Cash Flow & Financial Planning Support

• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts
• Analyse forecast variances and key business drivers
• Monitor financial performance and identify emerging concerns
• Provide recommendations and practical solutions where appropriate

Client Relationship Support

• Maintain professional communication with clients
• Assist with routine financial discussions and reporting reviews
• Participate in client meetings and presentations
• Build trusted relationships through reliability and responsiveness
• Progress toward managing client interactions independently

Process Improvement & Innovation

• Review existing accounting workflows and identify efficiencies
• Support initiatives involving automation and technology improvements
• Assist in strengthening internal controls and documentation
• Contribute ideas that improve accuracy, consistency, and productivity

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders or client portfolios
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
• Experience using Xero

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting Australian businesses or clients
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting
• Process improvement or workflow documentation experience
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems
• Experience with Fathom and Karbon
