Senior Glass Estimator

Our partner is a premier, highly reputable and well-established glass manufacturing and installation firm based in Western Australia, that has been operational for over 55 years. With a commitment to excellence and a track record of high-profile projects, they are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Glass Estimator to join their growing team.

You will be responsible for the accurate preparation and timely submission of tenders, ensuring our clients receive professional, informative, and competitive proposals.

The successful applicant will maximise the sales of the company's products while maintaining a high level of customer service and technical support. Responsible for the accurate preparation and timely submission of tenders for current and prospective clients in an informative and professional manner.

Main Requirements

• A minimum of four years of experience in glazing estimating.
• Must have experience in commercial glazing - partitioning, mirrors, shower screens, balustrades and associated fixings (NOT mainly external windows).
• Should ideally be competent with LogiKal estimating software.
• Shows a high drive to win / achieve.
• Experience with Australian Standards on glass selection and installation.

Tasks & Duties

• Maintain the highest level of knowledge of relevant Australian Standards on glass selection and installation.
• Estimate each project.
• Respond in a timely manner to all customer queries regarding estimating. Consult with architects/designers offering the best advice and accurate information.
• Build and maintain knowledge of key materials supplier offerings and pricing.
• Source pricing and availability of project materials from internal and external suppliers as required.
• Develop innovative and alternative solutions as part of quote and tender submissions
• Prepare timely and accurate Tenders. Follow up on Tenders considered appropriate for profit maximisation, including a strategy to close the sale.
• Participate in quote follow-up meetings to discuss potential works/orders.
• Actively participate in meetings and contribute positively.
• Conduct handover of awarded projects to the Commercial Manager and Project Coordinator. Outline important technical items, long lead times.
• Prepare invoice templates for newly awarded projects. Including cost breakdowns as requested by internal or external project teams.
• Conduct pre-qualification tender specific reviews at the request of our clients. Including confirmation of scope items, tender inclusions and exclusions
• Any breach of security must be reported to the direct Manager immediately.
• Adopt a positive attitude towards improving estimating processes and procedures by continual analysis of job functions.
• Other duties consistent with the position as required and/or requested.Experience
• Bachelors degree in architecture, construction management, engineering (civil or structural), or related field. Strong experience in the Construction or Glazing Industry with exposure to Construction Projects.
• Minimum of four years' experience in estimating.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Australian standards on glass selection and installation.
• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications and estimates.
• High level of knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience in either Logikal or V6 is highly desirable.
• Competent communication skills, and a motivated self-starter.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Able to show initiative within a team environment.
• High level of attention to detail and methodical approach to work.
• Ability to prioritise and multi-task.
• An understanding of and a commitment to confidentiality.
• Computer literate.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php60,000.00 - Php62,000.00 per month
