We are seeking a Project Coordination Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for the planning, monitoring and control of project development processes as rendered by the EPC Project Development Manager for power projects under the EPI Development Company. Responsible for the control of project development activities within the agreed timelines and approved budget, and compliant with contractual requirements and obligations; to recommend course of action that will optimize the project development processes or approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Project Coordination Supervisor of the EPI Development Company reporting to the Project Origination Head.
  • Assists the Project Origination Head to plan, monitor and control the implementation of EPI power projects under development.
  • Supports the Project Origination Head in the regular coordination and deliberation meetings with contractors/service providers, or on instance when engineering/project concerns arise.
  • Project Planning: Coordinates and integrates progress measurement of Contractors and Consultants Work together with other members of Project Teams. Consults with other members of the Project Team and consolidates all issues with Contractors Organizes and attends major project coordination meetings, overseas (Contractors Home office) or at construction site, as directed by the Project Manager. Attends to other Company as well as outside Company activities that may have impact on Project as well as personal effectiveness, as directed by the Project Manager. Assists the Project Development Manager in the review of project design, specifications, implementation methodology to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, and sound engineering practices. Recommends approval or disapproval of engineering designs, proposed schemes, technical information and concepts per review results.
  • Project Resources: Identifies needed resources, including manpower and budget to effectively execute functions or satisfy the requirements of the Project.
  • Project Coordination: Initiates or participates in (with other project participants) the development of Coordination Procedures. Provides direction to site engineers relative to site activities or in resolving issues or concerns that have arisen. Provides support in the supervision of all site activities related to the project from early development to completion; executes plan to complete project development works within schedule & budget; works with EPI Core Group and consultants/Owner’s Engineer’s team within the duration of the project.Supervises the technical activities in the project site to ensure that project implementation is according to agreed and approved design and plans. Consults with other members of the Project Team and consolidates all issues with contractors, suppliers, and other service providers; attends project coordination meetings, as needed or as directed by the Project Development Supervisor. Coordinates with other company departments (outside of Project Team) on matters related to Project Development of EPI power projects. Assists in other project team activities, e.g. permitting, ROW or land rights acquisition, project assurance, with technical information inputs or hands-on presence, as required, in coordination with project stakeholders. Attends to other Company as well as outside Company activities that may have impact on Project as well as personal effectiveness, as directed by the Project Manager. Supervises and provides guidance to Project Engineers and identifies their developmental needs. Coordinates with other Departments/Divisions (outside Project Team) on matters related to Project Implementation (e.g., Contractor’s billing/payments, project information, etc.). Handles project administrative matters such as securing of permits (other than those included In Contractors scope of work), submission of data/reports or presentation to LGUs and Government offices, and the like as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Project Cost Control: Develops Project Management Budget (Project Management Expense or This material is CONFIDENTIAL and contains company property information. Recipient shall not disclose this material or any portion thereof, directly, or indirectly, or use it in any way other than as duly authorized. Evaluates cost impact of Contractors Change Proposals. Monitors Project cost and provide variance analysis (CAPEX and PROMEX type). Recommends course of action to avoid budget overrun. Assists the Project Origination Head in the preparation of budget, covering the various elements of project development.
  • Project Monitoring and Control: Reviews of Contractors Project Schedule and over-all Project Schedule. Analyzes critical activities of Contractors, Consultants and Owner’s Project Team for proper interfacing and avoidance of consequent schedule slippages. Evaluates schedule impact of Contractors Change Proposals. Monitors project schedule and provides variance analysis. Recommends course of action to avoid schedule slippages. Verifies compliance of Contractors on Contract provision including Government requirements on permitting and the like; administrative obligation such as submission of reports, engineering documents, bonds, etc. Appraises performance of Contractors and recommends corrective actions in case of satisfactory assessment. Identifies or analyzes contractual issues with contractors and Consultants. Development and maintenance of Document Control System of Project Team.
  • Project Schedule Control: Assists in the attainment of Quality and EHS key performance measures. Assist the Management in implementing company policies, SOPs, safety procedures, good housekeeping, energy conservation guidelines and environmental regulations. Assist the Management in the implementation of quality and productivity initiatives. Comply with company policies, safety and security rules and code of conduct. Perform other duties that may be assigned by his superior and other ad hoc projects that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Attainment - Graduate of BS Engineering course, i.e. disciplines in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil or Management Engineering
  • Licensure - Licensed Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil Engineer; Certified Management Engineer.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in power/energy related concerns, including power plant operation and maintenance, engineering, power project development, contracting, project management, project execution and construction. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in supervisory or similar function.
