Civil Design Engineer (USA Projects)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Civil Design Engineer to join our growing team. Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and drafting of civil engineering plans for site development projects, including erosion control, site planning, grading, drainage, stormwater management, sewer design, and municipal water distribution systems.

• Generate site plans based on client requirements, code requirements, vehicle turning analysis, and other considerations.
• Perform site grading analysis based on topography, drainage requirements, and other site constraints.
• Assist in designing stormwater management systems, including detention ponds, bioswales, and infiltration systems.
• Support the design of sanitary sewer and water distribution systems, ensuring adherence to applicable standards.
• Prepare civil engineering plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and adhere to company drafting standards.

Prepare engineering reports including Storm Drainage Reports, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), and Operations and Maintenance Manuals.

Collaborate with project consultants including architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of civil engineering designs.

Coordinate with regulatory agencies to assist in obtaining permits and approvals for site development projects.

• Stay updated with relevant civil engineering standards, codes, and regulations, and apply them effectively to projects.

Provide support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and assisting in the preparation of record drawings.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or civil engineering drafting.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Foundational knowledge of civil engineering principles, including grading, stormwater management, and utility design.
• Familiarity with concepts such as the Rational Method, SCS Method, pipe flow analysis, and stormwater design methodologies.
• Proficiency or willingness to learn Autodesk Civil 3D.
• A positive attitude with a strong desire to grow, improve, and take on new challenges.
• Ability to identify areas where additional knowledge is needed and seek assistance or resources proactively.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to interpret and apply land use codes and regulations.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work in-person and be part of a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with land use applications and civil engineering design for commercial site development.
• Knowledge of preparing erosion control plans and other site-specific civil engineering documents.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php45,000.00 - Php60,000.00 per month
