Accounting Support Specialist
Location: Cebu City
Employment Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday, Night Shift
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly accurate and detail-oriented Accounting Support Specialist to join our growing team. This role will support accounting functions for multiple businesses, including a Philippines-based company and a US-based engineering firm. You will work closely with our local leadership, our staff accountant in the US, and our executive team to ensure that financial data is clean, complete, and well-organized.

Key Responsibilities
Philippines Company Support
- Daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online or similar software
- Bank and credit card reconciliation
- Payroll preparation support (may lead full processing in future)
- Monthly financial report assistance (P&L, balance sheet, etc.)
- Tax documentation prep and tracking
- Maintain organized digital records and backups
US Company (Engineering Firm) Support
- Assist with client invoicing and payment follow-ups
- Reconcile expenses and timesheets against project budgets
- Help update project financial trackers and cost logs
- Assist with document management and audit prep
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or collect documents
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial admin experience
- Excellent English communication (written + verbal)
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Excel/Google Sheets, and GDrive
- Basic understanding of payroll, A/P, A/R, and financial reporting
- Organized, trustworthy, and attentive to detail
- Ability to follow and improve systems/SOPs
- Familiarity with project-based accounting or Sage 100 (a plus, but not required)

Supports accurate and timely financial data across multiple companies, ensuring organized recordkeeping, clean reconciliations, and project-specific tracking in collaboration with local leadership and US-based finance teams.
Primary Role Objectives:
- Maintain day-to-day books and transactions for the Philippine entity
- Provide high-quality financial admin support for the US-based engineering company
- Assist with payroll, tax prep, invoicing, and project cost tracking
- Maintain timely reconciliations and support month-end reporting
- Own documentation processes and digital organization of financial records

Key Skills & Tools:

- Ability to manage time across multiple companies/projects
- Ability to cross-check and audit transactions for accuracy
- Familiarity with US tax terms, invoice formatting, and 1099 compliance is a plus
KPIs / Success Metrics:
- Bookkeeping accuracy rate > 98%
- Reconciliation completion by 3rd business day of each month
- 100% on-time document handoff to US Staff Accountant
- Payroll processing accuracy > 99% (if/when assigned)
- Vendor/client task completion within 24–48 hours
- Audit readiness of files, folders, and backups
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php27,500.00 - Php35,500.00 per month
