What is Brand Score?
Brand Score is a metric that measures your company's employer brand performance on Indeed and Glassdoor. Calculated on a scale of 1–100, Brand Score is an overall indicator of your brand's awareness, consideration, favourability and reputation in a given market.
Why Brand Score matters
Brand Score was developed to help employers:
- Understand the true impact of employer branding investments (ROI)
- Make data-driven decisions about future brand strategies
- Compare performance against benchmarks
Brand Score connects your brand activity to measurable proof of investment value. It captures all your branding efforts per market on Indeed in one score.
Eligibility requirements
To receive a Brand Score, your company must have:
- More than 10 reviews on your Indeed Company Page for a specific market (for example, the US)
How Brand Score is calculated
Brand Score provides a holistic view of your employer brand performance across Indeed and Glassdoor. It's calculated across four pillars. Each pillar is scored on a scale of 1–100:
- Awareness: Measures how often your brand is seen across the web and searched for on Indeed and Glassdoor.
- Consideration: Evaluates job-seeker interest in learning more about your brand from your Company Page.
- Favourability: Tracks how appealing your brand and jobs are to active job seekers on Indeed and Glassdoor.
- Reputation: Perception of your employee experience based on your company rating on Indeed.
Together, these pillars assess how visible your brand is in the market, how positively it's perceived and how likely job seekers are to engage with you.
How to access your Brand Score
If your company meets the eligibility requirements, you will see Brand Score on the Analytics page within your employer dashboard. Reach out to your Indeed sales representative if you have any questions or want practical tips on how to improve your score on Indeed.
