Users and Permissions Overview

You may not be able to access some pages or information in your employer account. If this happens, ask an account administrator to change your access. Access is based on different permissions, such as Jobs, Candidates and Billing. These permissions can be combined. They are not set as one single level. Check the access levels and optional preset roles below to find what you need.

Role permissions and access levels

Preset Role Permissions

Admins have the option to pick from a list of preset hiring roles for their users. Each role is designed around common hiring responsibilities:

Predefined User Roles	Permissions
Basic	Use assigned Smart Sourcing subscription.
Limited	Review and message candidates for specific jobs. Access Smart Screening for specific jobs. Use an assigned Smart Sourcing subscription. Set up interviews for specific jobs.
Standard	Post and manage jobs. Review and message candidates. Manage Smart Screening settings for all enrolled jobs. Set up interviews.
Advanced	Post, manage and sponsor jobs and campaigns. Review and message candidates. Manage Smart Screening settings for all enrolled jobs. Set up interviews. Add hiring collaborators, such as hiring managers and interviewers. Manage Smart Sourcing subscriptions and assign contacts to users. View performance analytics and all reports. Edit Company Pages and respond to reviews.
Admin	Full access to the Indeed Account. Organisation-level settings and functions. Manage all jobs, candidates, interviews and analytics. Add, remove, manage and oversee Indeed users. Manage budgets and spending on Indeed products, update billing information.

Custom Access Levels

For employers who need more granular control and flexibility, the Custom Access tab lets you access the full suite of individual permission sets.

Access Level	What you can do
Account Owner and Admin	Access the full Indeed account with all permissions.
Basic Access	Search for candidates using Smart Sourcing.
User Management	Add users and change permissions. You can grant the same or lower access than your own.
Candidates	Review and contact applicants for all jobs. Use Limited access to limit visibility to certain jobs.
Jobs	Option 1: Post and manage jobs Post hosted jobs Edit hosted and indexed jobs Option 2: Post, manage and sponsor jobs Post hosted jobs Edit hosted and indexed jobs Sponsor jobs Manage campaigns
Company page	Edit your Company Page. Reply to reviews.
Smart Sourcing Subscription	Make payments and edit billing details.
Billing	Make payments and edit billing details.
Analytics	Get the analytics overview and all reports.
