Human Rights Progress Updates

At Indeed, we are committed to sharing our progress towards advancing human rights. Explore our annual updates below.

FY2024 Updates

Following on from the delivery of in-person human rights training to our Senior Leadership Team in late 2023, we launched a self-paced human rights e-learning in 2024 for all Indeed employees. Both of these initiatives support our efforts to communicate our commitment and approach to human rights, as well as help our teams understand how their work might positively or negatively impact human rights. We commit to regularly reviewing and updating our learning materials, and providing further education and awareness raising opportunities for our entire workforce.

In 2024, we reviewed some of our moderation processes to embed a human rights based approach to content moderation and content removal decisions. Our Anti-Human Trafficking Team also began partnering with our R&D teams and Responsible AI Team to leverage AI to support human moderation, enabling more content to be reviewed faster.

The Human Rights Team also began exploring ways to embed human rights risk assessments into the product lifecycle. We plan to begin piloting product human rights risk assessments in FY2025.

In 2024, our Board of Directors formally endorsed our FY2025 Human Rights Commitment. This represents a significant milestone in our efforts to enhance human rights governance at Indeed.

In 2024, we launched our new Online Safety Reporting Portal to receive reports of concerns of illegal content found on Indeed pursuant to the EU Digital Services Act.

In 2024, we also began reviewing existing grievance mechanisms at Indeed to identify opportunities for improvement, with the goal of enhancing our approach for receiving complaints and notifications from all rightsholders.
