Reputable company who pays well for high performers, but expect pressure
Xerox is well known for having an excellent sales training program - and they do - and have a reputation for sales pressure, which is deserved. Compensation is very fair if you put in the work and excel, however many internal processes are frustrating, and recent corporate M&A with either Fuji and/or HP leave uncertainty in the future.
Pros
Strong Reputation and history of innovation, sales training, compensation for high-performers, incentive trips for sales
Cons
Pressure, expect to put in extra work on personal time to be successful, many broken backoffice processes

A Serious Challenge
Xerox was THE industry leader in sales training during my tenure. The benefits of having completed the Professional Sales Training courses could be measured in actual dollars when exploring opportunities with other companies. The training was on going and always cutting edge. Above and beyond the salaries, incentives, bonuses and profit sharing, nothing in my experience was more valuable to me nor served me better in so many other aspects of my life and career than the body of knowledge that I gained. As a direct sales rep, the position was hard, challenging, highly competitive and ultimately rewarding in that I grew so much by way of determining not just my strengths but my weaknesses. The psychology of the sale has become a cornerstone in all of my business relationships and continues to serve me quite well. My various positions at the company increased my awareness of employee relations and the corresponding stats on retention and production and what the real costs of training are. The hardest aspect was always making quota. The better you did last quarter, the higher your quotas were the next quarter. It never lightened up. The culture was cut throat in that respect: you were pitted against your teammates and the company had no problem when blood was drawn. When I was later promoted to a vertical accounts package, the competition eased, the responsibilities increased and the associated rewards and enjoyment grew exponentially.
Pros
Remarkable Training
Cons
Cutthroat Competition
