Good pay, good morale, poor workspace and administration
Editorial Assistant (Former Employee) - Quezon City - September 27, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI learned a lot in my Editorial Assistant role and had fun working with my team, despite the difficult tasks. The salary was also quite good, given that my role was entry level. My main issue was with the poor state of the office space and the HR department. The office is far from an ideal workspace and has several structural and hygiene problems that were never addressed in my time there, although it was still mostly WFH. I also struggled with slow correspondence with the HR department, especially regarding late pay or issues with benefits and documentation. Overall, I liked working there and earned well, but it was hard to ignore the issues I mentioned.

Various roles (Former Employee) - Quezon City - November 2, 2023
You will learn a lot in this company. It provides great opportunities for improvement on both technical and soft skills. It won’t always be an easy day at work, but you know that you ate getting better at your craft

Nice workplace for newbie

Good starting place for fresh graduates. Has good culture, especially if you will be assigned to good leaders in the company. Free lunch. Hybrid set up. Company issued laptops.

Low Pay, start with project-based and hourly salary
Editorial Assistant (Former Employee) - Quezon City - July 11, 2023
HR Management is trash. They're not transparent in discussing salaries and benefits. EA position has low pay and you start as a project-based employee. This means that you're paid hourly not monthly.

Productive and Good Management
Former Employee (Former Employee) - Quezon City - April 15, 2023
I enjoyed working at Vibal because my manager was kind, approachable, and organized. It was challenging at first but I was able to cope up with difficulties especially during the pandemic because of her guidance and patience.

Bad Management
Office Staff (Former Employee) - Quezon City - March 13, 2023
The management wastes money. Government contributions are not being paid on time and when you'd like to use it, you can't. They also don't give back the supposed reimbursements of employees.
Pros
Free lunch, Hybrid Setup
Cons
Money, so many gossipers, not professional people

Supportive sales team but no support from higher management
Account Executive (Current Employee) - Quezon City - February 10, 2023
I guess there is no perfect company but you can always rely on your team. If you are in sales be ready to use your own salary and savings for your fieldwork

Stressful and can be really toxic
Learning Specialist (Former Employee) - Remote - November 4, 2022
You will be given tasks that are not related to your job title. There are also events when you are required to participate and do extra work but unpaid. Salary is always late and the government mandated benefits are not settled until your resignation.

Fun Workplace Environment, Excellent Colleagues, Poor Selection of Appointed Supervisors
Office Staff (Former Employee) - Quezon City - September 22, 2022
Company offers flexible and compressed working schedule. No benefits offered to contractual/probationary employees other than the government benefits. Chances of being regularized is not guaranteed. Poor supervision of appointed supervisors.

Good colleagues yet confusing and toxic management
Office Staff (Former Employee) - Quezon City - May 27, 2022
The company has good colleagues and interesting opportunities. You can even switch to different career path or department which is something good if you want for career change. However, as I worked for more than seven years, I witness bad and confusing management, uncomprising health benefits, pay and unadjustable deadlines especially if you're on product development in creatives side. Some people will look down on you if you are different or have a bad output and even insulted you. Some heads are too perfectionist and it's stressful to work with them. They don't prioritize the projects which is why some projects are even cancelled which is really disappointing. I do not suggest to work here if you're looking for bigger pay and with doable goals and fitting deadlines.

This is a dying company
Company Nurse (Former Employee) - Quezon City - October 18, 2021
Ako po yung former Company Nurse na nag trabaho dito, sa tingin ko kahit may tumanggap ng job offer na ito di rin tatagal, napaka worst ng process Company na ito, In all aspect if I may say so. Sa mga kapwa ko Nurse itaas naten ang antas ng pagpili ng Employer. Marami rin mabait, pero walang relevance ang kindness if incompetent ang karamihan.
Pros
The seasoned employees are very professional
Cons
There's no professinal growth as a Company Nurse

Productive and good at first.
Learning Specialist (Former Employee) - Quezon City - July 20, 2021
This company teaches me alot about trust and honesty. At first you will be amazed but soon you'll see how they twist they words and how empty their words are.
Pros
Free Seminars
Cons
Late Salary

Unfair and Ill-minded management
Learning Specialists Associate (Former Employee) - Quezon City - March 24, 2021
Poor HR coordination with the management. Mandatory Benefits were not given on time, reimbursements were too long to reimburse, but the people in Vibal were very much outgoing and friendly. Good for starters though, I wouldnt recommend to stay here for long.
Pros
Fun people to work with
Cons
Poor Management - People handling

Training
Associate (Former Employee) - G. Araneta Avenue cor. Maria Clara St. - August 27, 2020
Overall, the company provides a strong training ground for its employees. Personally I had a lot of fun working with the diverse and various departments in this company. I can say that they have one of the most fun and friendly people. Although there were instances were working here can be described as a handful. You need to have a strong sense of self and patience if you will be working in this company. Also, be ready for urgent and sudden changes in your position or department. Your co-employees are fun and supportive but as per the managers and superiors, some are okay.
Pros
Free Lunch, Gym
Cons
Other tasks, Long hours, Rushed Projects

Great employees at Product Development Department
Office Staff (Former Employee) - Quezon City - August 5, 2020
I had a great experience working with my co-employees especially publishing department because they are easy and fun to be with. They let me learn and grow as a professional individual. They are competitive and dedicated when it comes to meeting the deadlines and quality of work. I've met a lot of creative, collaborative, and competitive professionals who dedicate themselves to produce quality books for students. I also like that they have flexible but compressed working hours. This company is progressive when it comes to gender equality and modern society, but the HR department needs to improve and be competitive. They have a poor time management, I got a text that I have a job interview at 9am but I got interviewed by 2pm and that's only an initial interview. It took me 7 interviews which lasted almost 2 weeks before I got hired. Their contract is not following the labor code about regularization. The government mandated benefits are always late, and they are too slow to response whenever we have concerns about our employment. The only thing I find good in HR Dept. is their activities to help engage employees at work like social nights, lots of training, and birthday and work anniversary blowouts for regular employees. Over all, I enjoyed working here at Vibal because of my dedicated and supportive supervisor, great co-employees, and fun experience (except my HR dept experience).
Pros
Free lunches, free shuttle, great employees, they promote gender equality
Cons
low salary, long hours of work, weak HR department

Productive and Fun working here
Production Worker (Former Employee) - Quezon City - June 6, 2020
I can easily get the job done. All my co-workers has good attitude. But sometimes there are many circumstances that the work are heavily and hard to understand because of the machines. Though the work is tiring I'm very dedicated to finish the given task ad learned from it.
