Fun place to work
Team Leader/Supervisor (Former Employee) - Philippines - April 19, 2021
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe hardest part of my job was to maintain consistency with employees to report for work. Which is uncontrollable. The fun part is you get to meet a lot of good and right-minded people.
Pros
Brownies and beautiful ladies (kidding and serious).
Cons
Band-aid resolution

Fun Job - Stagnant Growth
Operations Supervisor (Current Employee) - Rockford, IL - February 2, 2023
Ups Rockford is a large hub but is behind in workplace culture. Fun job to do, but lacks a positive atmosphere and is limited in opportunity to get more hours.

Good Pay, Decent Hours
Seasonal Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Albany, OR - February 2, 2023
Pay was 22 an hour plus 60 cents per mile driven. Not too difficult once you get the gist of it, hours aren't consistent which can be a problem. Overall everyone is friendly and is a good place to work.

Ok
High Value Associate (Former Employee) - Raleigh, NC - February 2, 2023
Poor management and organization. There wasn't very much direction from leadership and at times warehouse operations were disorderly. Pay and benefits are very competitive.

It is a fast paced work and physical demanding environment. Have to work to get hours and sometimes get paid too. Management is on your back at all times.

Decent place to work
Sorter (Current Employee) - Monroe Township, NJ - February 2, 2023
The pay is good. The hours during peak season are great. Once it’s over they cut the hours and staff back unless you are in the union. Management is decent depending on what shift you work. Huge turnaround

Jobs at UPS
Good pay, relax environment.
Package Handler (Current Employee) - Plainfield, IN - February 2, 2023
At the current rate of $22.25 good pay. I can only speak for the night shift with generally starts is 11 PM-3AM, management and coworkers are friendly. Of course it’s hard work but if you do your best , be safe and try to improve they’re not gonna hassle you.

Overall, very fun place and environment to work in. Union representation is incredibly important! Never met my supervisor and communication was awful.

UPS Driver Helper (Former Employee) - Baton Rouge, LA - February 2, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Getting to learn how things work at UPS getting the delivery experience under your belt What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Unfair treatment. I worked as a peak seasonal driver, helper. And my driver basically do all of the work on me if we have 120 stops, me as the driver HELPER will hop off and do 105 of those stops wow the driver take cares of the other 15. and while they’re trying to overwork you . The not paying you all of your hours that you worked. if you don’t keep up with your time and hours they are going to shorten you on every paycheck you’re gonna have to call them and get it straighten out every week. And go to a whole Lot of unnecessary drama just to get your money that you work for and money that they overworked you for at that. I do not recommend anyone to work for UPS as a driver helper. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Exhausting depressing overworked for very little pay What is a typical day like for you at the company? Exhausting overworked, you are riding with the driver and he’s treating you like you his personal assistant. Once the driver helper gets on the truck, the driver basically sit back and make the helper do 96% of the work for the day

UPS is a great place to work! The communication in this center, in the department that I am in outstanding. Good pay, but the benefits could be better.

Work culture
Credit Analyst (Former Employee) - Addison, IL - February 2, 2023
Ok work culture. Management needs improvement on how to work and assist employees. Employees were overloaded with accounts randomly added on them. They also closed other location and moved account to one location.

UPS Culture - Still A lot to be done
Business Development Manager (Current Employee) - Atlanta, GA - February 2, 2023
I've been at UPS for 16 years. I'm now considering leaving due to poor management of their profile and customer experience. In sales it's hard enough to get the buy in from a client and build enough trust to win their business. It's a good start for experience out of college, but from a long term perspective the culture is extremely discouraging. VP level and above are completely disconnected from the customer's needs. They only care about advancing their own careers and titles. They are talking a good talk but don't "walk it".
Pros
Overall Compensation, Work Life Balance, career stability.
Cons
Customer technology is outdated, customer focus is poor, focused on profits and shareholders, not the customers or employees.

Growth opportunities
Manager (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - February 2, 2023
There are plenty of opportunities if you put in the time and effort. Work can be very demanding during peak season as expected but there is a sense of accomplishment once you get through it.
