Fun place to work

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
The hardest part of my job was to maintain consistency with employees to report for work. Which is uncontrollable. The fun part is you get to meet a lot of good and right-minded people.

Pros

Brownies and beautiful ladies (kidding and serious).

Cons

Band-aid resolution

Work hard get less money

I work for 5 days alot of hours and they give only 100 something per week. The pay is not fair. Working in risky investment cold, hot, dogs and crazy prople with weapons and get only 100 something a week

Hard work, lifting and on feet whole time. Not enough hours but this is a temporary position, seasonal to handle Christmas packages.

They tell you it's 10am to 4pm but I averaged just 6 hours a week until Thanksgiving. Hours have picked up (20-35) for now but will end after Christmas. It's very hard work, heavy lifting, on your feet whole time. Managers are great, however!

Pros

Free lunch occasionally, snacks are handed out often

Cons

Not enough hours

Fast pace

It is not for everyone but by far the best place I’ve worked at everyone that works for the company is a huge part of the success achieved daily if you have a chance to work there I highly recommend it

Internal progression

Managers were happy to encourage cross training across different roles within the warehouse, to help you gain skills and apply for leadership positions

Pros

Nice people

Cons

None

Great place to work

Had a wonderful experience at UPS. All of my coworkers were very nice. I always had the support that I needed to do my job to the best of my ability.

Good but they oversell

Great way to make extra money if you are looking for part time work. Seniority rules here so few hours are available when you’re starting out. They advertise at being up to almost full time but from my experience in reality about half of the hours are available.

Not a place to work for long

This place will give steady work for a few weeks, but once you are close to joining the union they will try to make you quit. I started with 30+ hours a week, and they cut me down to 3 a week if I was lucky. They would say that package volume was "low" and to take the day off, but I'd later find out from others that it was busy. This happened to everyone I knew who worked there eventually. Overall, if you need a job fast, I say go for it, you will gain some muscle. Just be prepared to have a side gig

Horrible managers and terrible building conditions

i got there my first day and it was pretty okay for a labor job until the workload was so overwhelming that employees just didn’t show up and that means that whoever is on shift has to do their load as well as the work for the people who didn’t show. The mangers were extremely aggressive but the employees are nice..

Pros

different shifts to choose and seasonal jobs

Cons

no break, if you get sprained they give you 10 minutes and get you back to work

Ok

It was ok. Much better place to work before it was sold to TForce Freight. Not a lot of support and upper management was all about metrics and didn't care about the situations or challenges. No support. Left to fend for yourself

Productive and hard working place.

Keep in mind that starting at ups you will most likely be part time working in warehouse unless you start as a seasonal driver. If you are okay with those things it is a nice place to work

Fast pace and unorganized

It’s unorganized my supervisors were cool people though,The managers were not so cool. You can get fired for almost anything when you just start working there

Pros

Seasonal pay

Cons

Very short breaks(10 mins)

not for the weak back

Its a back problem. The company asks you to lift heavy stuff that is more than what you should be asked to deliver, but they don't check the weights and people just are expected to deliver the packages and they have high expectations that you will deliver your complete route

Pros

its a living

Cons

its bad for your back

Fun

I really enjoy it. It’s pretty fun and easy job to do. I get to deliver packages and greet costumers. And the management is nice. The hardest part of the job would be the cold weather. Such as snowy days. It can be hard but if your physically and mentally ready you should be fine

Tough job, but great benefits

Tough job but uncomperable benefits and great pension if you decide to make it a career. Part-time work is very hard labor but have same health benefits as full-time positions and have pension too.
