Working as an intern was very fun and informative. My supervisors and co-workers were all warm and welcoming; they made it known that I can approach them whenever I needed help. I was guided without being babied; they knew when it was fine to let me accomplish something and when to step in and help me. I learned a lot about work ethics and laboratory techniques. Indeed, a good work environment brings out the best in workers.
The area manager made the salary, benefits etc sound very promising but she told a lot of untruths- her answer to me when I started to question things was " if I didn't put it in writing you cant prove it " , no questions if I'd mis understood or mis heard she really had a " so what " attitude. The job as auditor is too underpinned by you needing to make sales
nice job to retire to or start a new carreer
too much emphasis on sales rather than auditing
Super higth risk and poor health and safety. Low income offer for high risk job. Company does not really care about safety protocols and quality they pretend.
There is too much over time
You might want to go back home sonner and notvalways posible.

Good Oilfield Job, Poor Future Outlook!-SGS Oil and Gas Division. Good Experience and Knowledge platform! When Business is Ideal and Normal, Call-Outs Never seem to end!! The service and business aspect of the Laboratory is based on suppressed, abused, and overworked!!

factory oriented lab, you more or less do the exact same thing every day. the pay starts around minimum wage, I only made it to $16.50/hour after three years of working there which is maybe a dollar more than you would get at Tim Hortons and that doesn't feel good.
Great way to gain experience in many different industries. Lots of room to transfer and move up within different sectors of the company. Upper Management in my opinion should take more time deciding who is best fit for site management.
discrimination/harrassment at work
Great Concept and needed service in the Automotive sales industry. Inspectors need to cover large regional areas still get inspections of vehicles completed. You work in all weather conditions, other than when working in service departments, body shops, and closed in areas. You must take many pictures of vehicles find all damages and rate a vehicle within a short time span. Unless it is Thundering and Lightening you are expected to perform your job duties. Don't miss any thing either, because additional inspections are randomly performed for audit purposes and for the auction. If you like being by yourself most of the time and loosely connected with corporate or main office, it may be the right job for you. It is ultimately contract work, so when the company looses a contract or it slows down, goodbye to your hours and pay, but when its busy you get all the hours you want. Make friends with the dealership managers and service department, so when you get furloughed or permanently laid off, you will have some where else to go. One other tip, cross train for everything that is out there, and it will help you move up quicker.
Great job in the summer.
Terrible job in the winter.
