Knight Frank and Santos unveil Real Estate partnership in the Philippines
Knight Frank, the independent global property consultancy, today announces a long-term partnership in the Philippines with Rick Santos, who heads the leading Real Estate Brokerage and Consulting Firm in the country. The business will operate as Santos Knight Frank, with effect from 1 January 2017.
Rick Santos, the founder and CEO of the Philippines business with 1,200 employees, will become CEO of Santos Knight Frank, based in Manila. Santos Knight Frank will be an integral part of the Knight Frank global network, enabling the combined entities to provide seamless service to both corporate and private clients in the Philippines and around the world.
This partnership builds on a close alignment in ethos, business culture and service offering with a strong focus on long-term client relationships. The alliance will add a well-respected and highly professional operation in the Philippines to the Knight Frank network which in Asia-Pacific, will comprise more than 5,000 employees across 14 countries.
Santos says, “Southeast Asia is one of the most exciting regions for real estate today. With its skilled labour, young population, English language proficiency and familiarity with the US, and an economy that grew by 7.1% during the third quarter of 2016, the Philippines stands in a prime spot as one of the region’s fastest growing economies. A partnership with Knight Frank provides an ideal path towards our long-term goal of strengthening our position as the top real estate service organization in the Philippines and a leading player in Southeast Asia.”
On the growth of the Philippine market, Santos highlights, “We are seeing strong interest from global investors in the Philippines. Furthermore, we see the continuous rise of China and ASEAN as crucial to our business. With the rise of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and shared services sectors, we expect an increase in activity in the office sector. The implementation of REITs and the government’s ‘Build, Build, Build’ infrastructure programme will further drive up growth.”
Kevin Coppel, Asia-Pacific Regional Head at Knight Frank, says, “The Philippines is a thriving and stable economy, and in Rick Santos we have found a business partner with both the reputation and integrity that fit perfectly with the Knight Frank brand.
“Over the medium term, we expect to see sustained economic growth in the Philippines, fuelled by favourable demographics, continuing foreign direct investment, further BPOs, strong overseas remittances and continued infrastructure development – all of which will drive robust demand in the real estate sector.”
Alistair Elliott, Chairman and Senior Partner at Knight Frank, adds, “We continue to focus on recruiting the best people in key markets around the world and Rick Santos and his team is a perfect example of this. This long-term relationship suits our partnership model and opens up another important regional market to the Knight Frank platform.”

The company has its shortcomings but it has been compliant with standards especially with statutory benefits. The company promotes work-life balance from my experience.
Culture is very toxic. They don't care about their employees' wellness especially during pandemic. No support and appreciation given. I could say, this is the worst company.
No career improvement, No trainings/seminars, No salary increase, and most of all , HR staffs responded very slow or no response at all on inquiries from other employees.
Do not apply in this company ,if you still want to have a peace of mind, accounting managers are so unprofessional ,gossip, politics, toxic, and not good in leading the team. They commit a specific task from client request and when the committed tasks are not met , they blame the staff, instead of guiding and supporting them, also the HR takes longer to response to any inquiries from employee, they are just aggressively reponsing when you are applying the job.
The toxic culture drives good employees away. This is evident in the high attrition rate of the company. Management is too obssessed with daily meetings without any concrete agenda.
