Don't work here.

If you love your life, Don't apply there. If you want a work-life balance don't apply there. They give you alot of stress. The salary is not competative and the owner of the company is always angry. They give you work load that not scope to your job. Over all Poor management

Workmates presence is very important

I am currently employed as a Food Server at Philippine Pastries Inc. for over 4 years and counting. Its a normal day for me to interact with lots of people with different race and norms. I have to deal with them in a very rightful manner as much as possible. I have learned to talk to them(guests) with their lives and personal doings. I know how to garnish cakes in standard looks, handle complains and be friends to them afterwards, mixed and shake cold drinks, hot tea and coffee. The management itself have a very slow action in staff recognition and appraisal, no health benefits and a few numbers of vacation leave which is not sufficient for us to enjoy and gave ourselves a break and unwind. The hardest part of the job is to say goodbye to your colleagues which is set to part ways to look for a greener pasture and the most enjoyable thing of my job is that you connect with each other co staff and gain friendship that so memorable.

Overall it was fun and great experience working here. I've learned a lot of things.

Fun workplace and exciting because, you'll meet different people of different classes particularly: businessman, some artist, senior citizens and many more. The peak time of our store is during breakfast, lunch, dinner and late dinner. I've learned to become more flexible, multi-task person, and patient in facing every day challenges. I became knowledgeable in using Point of Sale System and the daily and monthly inventory. My co-workers have been kind and treated me well during my stay and they teach me all the things I need to know about my work. While the hardest part of the job is when the store get crowded and there's a lot of to go items at the same time. The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing your guest/s satisfied, beyond happy with your service, and having a bonus of personal tip.

Pros

service charge, meal allowance, not broken time

Cons

minimum benefits, no proper place for the staff to rest

Bizu provides little than what we need.

Typical day at work would be quite enjoyable at something to look forward to, just seeing your guests always comes back at your restaurant means you have met their needs and wants during their meals, that's why they are looking forward to seeing you again. I am learning a lot of things at my workplace, first is your knowledge at the menu items. That is the most important thing for me, since you are the front liner of the restaurant means you also mirror the image of the restaurant, as much as possible you always have to have that smart look and smart brains to answer you guests' questions regarding the menu items, and also dealing with them. Management is not really good since they are making some rules but always be the first one to break them.. Dealing with your co-workers are one of the most important and crucial part in the restaurant, there's always be envy, insecurities, and who is much better staff out there, it's just up to you on how to deal with some of your irritating co-workers, me, I just go with the flow. The hardest part of the job for me is that everyday you should surpass what you did yesterday like you've done better today maybe tomorrow will be the best and the other day will be perfect. The most enjoyable part of the job I can say is that everyday that I'm working I am enjoying every single bit of it it's just that sometimes there will come a time that you will think of gaining a more higher and stable company to work with in a future.

Pros

nice supervisors, meal allowance, very friendy environment to work at

Cons

limited staff, no transportation allowance, maximum leave is just five days, low salary and service charge
