It’s a good hustle and you will gain experience

The workers are nice as well as the trainers. But extremely unstable! They will upscale or pull you out of production for training at any time. This results in not being in a position long enough. When you are pulled into training for next production , you will not get paid. You will only receive incentives after training. Then you have a short time toFinish modules. This is anOngoing thing.

Work From Home, Flexible

Pros: Flexible Schedule, work from home min 18 hours a week. And you can work up to 40 hours a week.Cons: If call volume is low you are asked to log off.

okay

I worked for Omni for about 2 years this place is an okay to work. There is not enough projects to continue working and training is unpaid so there are some downsides to the flexible schedule.

To help assure you are meeting your revenue needs, we encourage you to partner with other companies that offer contractor roles. Certification is not paid but our longer certifications do offer an incentive once the requirements are met. Omni has great benefits (flexible hours, weekly pay, no overtime), but management makes it difficult to want to stay.

What is the best part of working at the company?Flexibility in scheduling when to workWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company?Meeting deadlines within 25 hrs notice of what to do, not being listened to and not treated with respect, and having a manager who gives you busy work even though you are maxed out with other work duties. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?The more dedicated you are, the quicker Omni will end your contract. If you have an issue and go to People Support, they will end tour contract especially if the issue is with a manager or director. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Answering calls, assisting other GBAs, being blasted for any mistakes in front of the entire team, and being praised in private messages. Also, doing the work managers are supposed to do while they take credit for it.

Flexible but has its flaws

My main issue with working here was the struggle to get hours. When hours were posted, they were quickly taken which could backfire on you because there is a minimum amount of hours to work each week.

Horrible management let good employees go when they get shown up when it comes to knowledge hold grudges lie about bonuses and salary e.g. You don't get paid the incentives promised overstaffed make finding hours impossible

When you partner with Omni, certification is not paid but you do earn an incentive once you meet the requirements. This information along with pay rates is all spelled out on the GIG Contract Overview. Do you feel you earned an incentive but were not paid this incentive? Do you feel you were not paid the correct hourly wage? If so, we encourage you to send a detailed email to Sue.Kelly@oiteam.com. Keep in mind as a contractor, hours are not guaranteed but based on client needs. When a clients needs change, Omni makes the change by reducing or increasing hours per the clients request. Decent pay but they will take you off a project for no reason the same day

Pay is normally decent with gigs. But they can drop you from the gig with only an hour or less notice. Gives you no reason as to why either. Horrible management.

Horrible training

Omni had horrible training and horrible pay. I would have stayed if they trained better before they threw you out to the wolves. Barely survived off the pay.

Terrible

They expect you to sit through training for free. Training is not adequate. Unfair pay practices. I was let go because I asked a question they didn't want to answer about pay inequity.

This is spelled out several times through the sign-up process. Many of our contracts do offer an incentive once you meet the requirements. No stability

Working for OMNI wasn't a bad thing, but if you're looking for a stable shift, you're not likely to find it here. They do their shifts by lottery, if you aren't on the computer to grab shifts when they drop, you get what's left or you get nothing at all. It was quite stressful trying to grab shifts while on calls with customers. The biggest issue was getting shifts. There's no real upper management to go to if you have any issues or are struggling, it's all team work, and if your team doesn't respond (it's all done via chat) then you are out of luck.

Promised hours, still waiting

As with all gig work, there is not guarantee. In training, we were told the hours would be plentiful, but once we hit the floor, the hours are not there.

Convenient & Flexible

This 1099 job is very flexible , hours waver from time to time depending on the contract you are on but it’s still a good opportunity. Perfect for people who have busy at home schedules or school schedules because you set your own hours.

Ehhhh Just Ok.

The best part about this company is that you can pick your hours. That is only if they do not hire more people on the contract than what is needed. If so, it will be extremely hard to get full-time hours and/or any hours at all.

Simple to get started

Not paid for training but it was a short time frame. The trainers were knowledgeable and always willing to help. The work itself was easy and I enjoyed talking to customers that called in to book their rides.

I love the schedule flexibility

You choose your own hours, which is great for being a parent. Work from home with your personal laptop or desktop. Training is NOT paid but you get compensated with bonuses upon finishing the course. Work independently.

Not too shabby

It’s very meh, overall managers were non existent. You had trainers and SME’s. Trainers were good but not perfect. SME’s really focused on clock issues and not actual support.

This is a good place to work.

Great work opportunity, but

I was only at Omni for a short time. I very much enjoyed it. You set your own schedule, pay was great with many opportunities for bonuses. Self training etc. Unfortunately, during peak week I was scheduled for surgery that I couldn't miss. We were informed when peak week was about 8 days before. My surgery was scheduled for the peak day, which was mandatory. I did let a supervisor know, and was told it was ok. But then the day after peak I was informed my contract was terminated and could not work for them again.

Contract Work

This company offers independent contract work. The platform s great for people who enjoy call center postions and also for people who like work life balance. You can make your own schedule.

Proceed with caution!

Very unorganized work environment. Information overload, once the calls come in you will be confused. This is a good job to start your work from home journey. Just horribly put together.
