They only care about the bottom line.
Assembler (Former Employee) - Clarksville, TN - April 14, 2021
They seem only to promote military people. The breaks are too short. The line moves at .07 seconds per stop, some jobs require the work of 2 or 3 people and if you miss anything, they can't wait to write you up. It's very hot inside and with the line moving so fast, you have no time for water. If you want to go to the restroom, you're told you have to wait. At least they usually alternate Saturdays so you sometimes get a full weekend off.
Pros
The coworkers
Cons
Short breaks, no time to hydrate.

just usa section manager (Former Employee) - Clarksville, TN - April 1, 2021
The Lg has a vision,,,poorly executed and they just keep making mistake after mistake and just keep doing it over & over! Old CEO was horrible The new CEO is Great but has himself surrounded by Yes men and number Changers to make plant look good to HQ. Its going to take many years for them to get the QC and manufacturing systems to work for a real profit.
Pros
nice building and machines
Cons
total lack of any leadership and HR is Horrible.

Life could be better
Engineer (Former Employee) - Clarksville, TN - March 18, 2021
Not sure what more needs to be said about this place. It seemed like a dream job, to be part of a manufacturing setting with a large notable company. It quickly became a nightmare, with constant issues from staffing shortages (both laborers and fellow engineers), to issues involving constantly breaking machinery. LGs solution to most issues was to throw people at the problem, and given the people shortage it always meant long hours (a typical day would start at 6:30 AM and end at 9 PM). The HR and management kept trying to create this creepy cult vibe of convincing staff that they were family, while keeping them separated from their actual families and would also demand retribution from the employees, in the form of either write ups or increased hours. Overall it wasn't the worst place to work, but life was far from good at LG.
Pros
Process Healthcare
Cons
Work Life Balance

Stressful and the pay isn't worth it
Assembly Line Worker (Former Employee) - Clarksville, TN - February 22, 2021
Not a place to work. You only make decent money if working 50 or 60 hours a week. No home life at all. They always want more work, and very rude. Run.

Free health benefits are great. Work-life balance is awful
Associate (Current Employee) - Clarksville, TN - February 18, 2021
If you need medical benefits, this is a perfect place to work because they’re free. Otherwise, long hours and minimum compensation is what’s offered by the company.
Pros
Free benefits
Cons
No work-life balance

Too many hours
Production Engineer (Former Employee) - Clarksville, TN - February 1, 2021
No work / life balance. Expect at a minimum of 12 hours per day for salaried workers. Good technology is in place - robots, AGV's. Way too many managers over the same area.
Pros
Free healthcare. Very good insurance plan
Cons
Too many hours at work

Pit of despair
Line Leader/Supervisor (Former Employee) - Clarksville, TN - January 14, 2021
Work life balance is a myth at LG. All that matters there is their numbers. People are machines that they just run down then replace. One good thing is you get insurance that is company paid. Good luck ever using it, especially for your family.
Pros
insurance
Cons
They will work you to death for their numbers and don't care about their employees

Not much to say, long hours, and work every other weekend
Assembler (Former Employee) - Clarksville, TN - December 29, 2020
Not much to say, long hours, and work every other weekend. Its a job with free healthcare could be better and moving up in the company. Also work 10 hours on a Saturday is not the move. Especially when you work from 630 til 530 Monday thru Friday
Pros
Ok pay
Cons
Long hours

LG manufacturing plant in Clarksville, TN is poorly managed. The leadership is terrible and the HR Department does not care for their employees.
N/A (Former Employee) - Clarksville, TN - December 11, 2020
Working at LG means not having a life outside of LG. The plant is run poorly by the leaders. People are treated disrespectfully and employees are not appreciated. Working long hours and under stress from the moment you walk in until you leave. This includes all salary and hourly employees.
Pros
Great benefit package
Cons
Long working hours, poor management, unorganized

Toxic work environment
QC (Current Employee) - Clarksville, TN - November 17, 2020
Many salaried positions are not paid in line with industry standards. When you are hired you are told by HR that you will work 40 hrs and little to no weekends. That is a lie and they know it. You are paid for 40hrs a week but expected to work over 60. There are no advancement opportunities. And they do not care about a work life/family life balance. Never agree to a salary. I do not recommend any job here at this factory.
Pros
None
Cons
Short notice about having to work Saturdays, many Koreans do not speak English

It needs improvement
Quality Control Inspector (Current Employee) - Clarksville, TN - November 11, 2020
Koreans care about their units and that’s it. The parking lot is long and so is the walk in the building. They expect you to give up your entire life for this job. Do not recommend job.

Assembler (Former Employee) - Clarksville, TN - September 29, 2020
Worst company to ever work for (unless you have no other choice) it’s favoritism the Koreans treats Americans like we’re trash wouldn’t recommend anyone to work here unless you have no other choice the only plus is the free benefits but you can hardly use them cause you work 6 days a week and they rarely approve your PTO unless your buddy buddy with the supervisors
Pros
Benifets but hardly use them due to overtime
Cons
Everything from Koreans to managmeny

Here and there .
Lg assembler (Current Employee) - Clarksville, TN - September 14, 2020
Overall there could be changes . Depending on the position given you can have a pretty easy job or a difficult One. The team leaders really care about the goal and THATS ALL. Something major has to happen for them to actually care about the well being of the employees . Me personally never had that issue but with all of the “benefits” given you don’t really have the chance to use them .. dental , eye , clinic .. you don’t get to use those . A lot of people are risking their jobs missing days due to not being able to meet these appointment standards. For Lg employees the pay is not bad but for the temp workers it could be better . They don’t necessarily give to much incentive to people when it comes to promotions , raises and better positions . That is my reasoning for a three start rating . Thank you for the opportunity but it is not enough in this society/time for a single man to live on his own comfortably .
Pros
Healthcare
Cons
Healthcare
