Cultural Battle and miscommunucatiin

The company makes good products, but rotates people from homebase to run management and set up new projects. No real internal advancement for Non-Korean members, even with a high rate of eployment turn over from Administration and Engineering, down to the factory floor. World class health benefits which are free, 50+ hr work weeks.

Very tough work

My first day wasn't bad, but on my second day they had me doing such hard work. In other words I was doing the job no one else wanted while the others had it so much easier. My hands were so cramped from lifting "weights" aka bearings all day. Shoulders were overly worked, feet had blisters from the steel toe shoes. Wasn't getting paid enough for the labor at all, I left after 2 days, not worth it!

Be wary of Lg

Good place to make a quick buck.. but they expect you to have most units done in 5 to 8 seconds..and it will roll on regardless if you're done or not..

Hours are good and so is the pay

Absolutely need to have fast hands to keep up with the production line! That is it. Be prepared to work extra hours when the quality control department finds a lot of kickbacks! Usually very minor mistakes. Your hand will be sore and cramped by the end of the day or night!

It has so much potential but falls short everytime

There are so many factors that work against you in this job regardless of what level you're at. You have the Koreans who don't want to conform or attempt to make an inclusive work environment, you have supervisors who are corrupt, and then you have all of the other unethical work issues in between. The company overall is great but the Clarksville site has a long way to go if they want a peaceful and unified work culture.

Underpaid poor organization.

They are unorganized, you never kno when you will be off one day to the next. Too much work for little pay .management was rude ,some treated you like crazy and other managers would try and excuse their behavior because of their culture!

Cheap lunches

Incompetence is all around, especially from management. Directors do nothing to help the work-life balance situation, and turnover is extremely high. One day, this place will fail.

Pros

Free Lunches

Cons

Everything else

Workers are good people and they should be treated better.

Management has no respect for the people and they do not trust the American workers. The people working there know what they are doing and should be treated better. LG Clarksville could be a good place to work if leadership had the trust in the American worker. The hours are way to long and you have no work life balance. There is also no sick time to take. With the hours you work it makes it hard to make appointments. Also the support system there is not there! You are given work that is not even in your scope.

Not enough money for the work

Not enough money for thr tasks the want you to do. Management is garbage 🗑. They only way to move up is work alot of over time or join one of the many "Clicks".

Completely Random

Management does whatever they want. Your schedule is changed on the fly so don't try making any appointments. If you're friendly with the bosses you get special treatment. If you're an introvert, you're forgotten and pushed aside. You might think you have a stable position, but you could randomly be moved to another area whenever they feel like it, even if you have no experience in that new area. They'll make you do stupid tasks when you're done with your job and are caught up in production. You're rewarded with more work if you finish early. Break times are cut short because of the time it takes to get to the break rooms and because of dumb stuff like only having two microwaves for an entire department. If you get days with no production, expect to work twice as hard and have your shift extended when you come back. You'll be secure for about a year but then you'll get screwed with.

Pros

Insurance

Cons

Poor management, random schedule, work/life balance, poor training

Nice place to work

Do your job stay out of the drama and everything is smooth. You work with a group or on a line to produce parts. You get a 30 minute lunch break. The pay is decent.

Pros

Most of the jobs are easy

Cons

Crazy people

Toxic work environment

This company has a massively high turnover rate due to it being such a toxic place. It shows signs of prejudice as well as a general lack of respect towards Americans.

It is not what I thought it would be. An operator usually gets better pay and certification yet that’s the same as a helper

The management was horrible. The work is trivial and makes the day long. Any quality issues you’d be left without an answer. The plant shut down for 5 days during Christmas yet in reality we didn’t get to go back until 14 days later. Wouldn’t waste my time with this company

Pros

Decent pay for the work required

Cons

Poor poor leading

Nothing good here unless you’re Korean

Worst Company I ever worked for. Management and HR are horrible. Don’t waste your time or effort!!! Poor Management and unsafe. No chance for advancement.

Pros

Free insurance for some

Cons

Overworked, Under paid, no work/life/family balance, no advancement unless you’re Korean, not safe, have had a lot of people hurt there.

Great benefits and co-workers

Company paid benefits package is great. Medical, dental, vision and prescription insurance with low co-pays for Dr visits that starts day 1 of employment. Incentive programs for discounts off many items. 401K that is matched by company. Great group of co-workers and nice environment. Very clean facility that is climate controlled. Work and family balance needs improvement for several departments. Long walk to get to many assigned areas.

Pros

Healthcare and great co-workers

Cons

A lot of working hours expected

The benefits are great

I enjoy my job here. The benefits are good and the schedule is consistent. If anything changes they tell you at least 24 hrs in advance, which is helpful.

Pros

breaks every 2 hrs, 30 min lunch, chill section leaders

Cons

depending on your supervisor you may have to change tasks a few times a day

If you have patience and determination to better yourself

Amazing people, alittle over the top with reliance. For example been in perfect attendance (2nd shift)since the beginning but things happen and only called 3 days and already giving me mixed signals. Very easy to be over worked and taken advantage of but once u crease in and fit where you want to be it’s easy going.

Pros

Great environment

Cons

Ur life is this job
