Good Company but Stressful Environment

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Pay is not high but benefits is good, many bonuses. Engineer is overwork, given many projects at once. Site personnel are forced to pay for site needs but it is reimbursed afterwards. Sometimes it takes too long to get your reimbursement.

Everyone is approachable, if you're struggling you can call anyone for help

Good team dynamics, the installation team is a one big family that helps and supports each other. Very good for starters especially if you want to be technically inclined.

Not so happy working here anymore

The company has been in the industry since 1969, but the key people are pretty new. As the company tagline says, it may sound good, “Changes for the Better.” However, it seems that most of the procedures that are currently in place and already considered best practices are not followed. It appears that they are not studying the process or do not have an idea how to do things here. It seems reasonable that there is a “new management,” but in this case, not all new are considered the best. They say that they tried to streamline the hiring process but still won’t hire quality candidates at the earliest time. As a result, most seasoned employees resign because of the ineffective strategies of HRD and the current management. We employ new supervisors, assistant managers, and managers trained by seasoned rank and file employees.

Pros

allow wfh set up once there are an increasing number of covid infected employees

Cons

Stressful environment, Most of the written work instructions are not followed, Inexperienced personnel management.

IEE - Good workplace

The new management in IEE is doing much better now. IEE's main priority is the employees. Salute to the NEW MANAGEMENT.And the working environment is okay, the salary is fair and it gets higher annually based on your grade.

Good workplace

People at the department Im working in are very approachable and helpful. Positive vibe in the office. Every employee is focused on his/her assigned task yet teamwork and collaborative effort are still observed.

Collaborative Workplace

The team is working as one. Group members brainstorm ideas to solve a problem or to produce something as a team. I must say that everybody is working and performing even no one is watching, they are very honest on what they're doing. I am proud to be a part of this team and company.

Pros

Detailed information about the company, department's general policy and procedure.

Not friendly environment

My superiors seems to be friendly at first, but true color showed less than a week after. Seems to be all knowing but the truth is she doesn’t know anything. It seems that my superior is not ready to take on the lead. Doesn’t lead by example. No guidance given for new employees, just some old reading material and they assume that you already know the drill.Very stressful environment.

Pros

Good company brand

Cons

Toxic culture and long working hours

Stressful, worst work culture, bad management

Good company but bad management, the management does not value, acknowledge and trust their employees as the back bone of the organization. They treat the Project Engineers, Supervisors and Managers as thieves (especially in the installation department).

Pros

13th month pay, christmas bonus, anniversary bonus

Cons

You have to work beyond working hours

Counter productive and loads of bullies

They don’t follow their own rules and always have so many excuses for their faults or mishaps that you as a lower-ranked employee will just swallow it. The higher management also tends to red-tag employees that lose their career potential because of “big boss” personal problem or opinion with the particular employees. They have this “bata-bata” system. Lacks training and opportunities are only given to very selected employees, those who are “close” with the boss.Very “conservative” but breaks rules and even their work instruction. No opportunities for growth. Bullying and crab mentality are already part of the culture in this company.Employees in the HR Department have a very high turn over rate, which speaks when it comes to the kind of management this company has.Everything is a very slow phase and counterproductive. Even the brightest idea will be trashed and things will only be approved based on the emotional state of the higher management.

Pros

They say ”Big-name in the industry”

Cons

Too many bullies. The best place to lose your dignity.

Very "challenging" company to work in

Company brand is good. Expats are better in management than Pinoy bosses. As much as some bosses are considerate, there are also some who are too hard to deal with.

Pros

Great colleagues to work with, greatest take away from this company is formed relationships among peers and colleagues, support from fellow employees.

Cons

Some bosses are harsh and terrible, shouting at people is a common sight inside the office, most bosses do not have respect for employees, working culture is harsh, too much humiliation and degradation of dignity of bosses, no proper coaching and guidance on how to transition oneself, you learn things the hard way.

Stressful, Horrible Management

Management only thinks about profit, profit, profit. Every company should prioritize their people first because they are the assets they can ever have.
