Good work place and productive

Indeed Featured review

Work and life balance ok,good benefits but management not on top of what goes on. Pay is moderate because it's a union shop. A 40 hour week with some o.t. available plus weekends.

Will work you like a slave for many weeks straight with no days off

They have worked associates for up to 80 days straight without a single day off. They do not care about the increased health problems or risk of suicidal ideation. Management accepts more orders than associates could possible complete in a day and so you are doomed to perpetually work every single day of your life with no enjoyment. Worst job experience I have ever had in my life.

Pros

barely

Cons

Management sucks, work life balance is awful, pay is laughable

Productive and well trained workforce

They train you well. They also have postings for promotions all the time. Lots of benefits and good people to work for. Best job I ever had. Only con: if someone is harassing you, you can report it but when they get in trouble the whole department turns on you for being a “snitch” and nothing can be done about that.

Understaffed/ overworked

Won’t staff according to workload and responsibilities. No flexibility in work schedule. No clear path for advancement. Management lacking the skills to manage group successfully.

Pros

Benefits

Cons

No flexibility in work schedules

Not a good place.

If you don’t fall into their form of employee you will not advance. The HR is 1000% for the company and will put all blame on you so the company doesn’t get faulted. You’ll get writes up for the dumbest things possible like beeping your horn to much, or a piece of card board you write a heart on. No matter how much you’re struggling do not work here EVER! If it were possible I’d give this place 0 stars.

Pros

3 days off

Cons

Everything else

Nice holidays off but no work life balance

The work itself is not hard. Management is good when they are actually helpful. A lot of confusion with their point system and any holidays you get off, you basically have to make that time off working the weekends

Pros

Holidays, hours

Cons

Point system, management

Solid, depends what you are looking for.

If you want long term this is a solid place to be becuase you receive a pension after so many years. I worked my way into the welding department was just unbearable during the summer months.

You would think that at such h a large company employees would be more valued

I know someone who works there. They are continually exhausted by the heavy lifting they must do, plus the long hours (10 -12 hrs) and normally 5 to 6 days a week. After reading a job request for an office job it said you are expected to remain sitting the whole day. Now everyone knows that sitting constantly is very unhealthy so I don't understand how little management cares about their employees. They have a point system there. If you ate late you get a point, if you are sick you get a point. If you have a family emergency you get a point. You are alliwed.6 points before you are fired. You must give 2 days notice if you need time off. They don't recognized Dr's notes as an excuse. I mean REALLY???? People aren't robots that don't gets sick, have car breakdowns, or other emergencies!!!! They need a union in there, so people are treated with compassion

Pros

Good pay fair Benefits

Cons

Point system is awful. No sick time. Management doesn't listen to employees

Great home/work balance

Pay is reasonable for the area, the work can be physically demanding in some stations but overall it’s fairly easy work. Benefits are good, they offer 401k and pension plans. 8 hour shifts, paid lunch and breaks. No mandatory overtime ever, although overtime is available for those that want it. It is HOT all summer long.

Pros

Paid lunch, no mandatory ot

Cons

Hoooootttt

Great place to learn and develop own career 👌

Great place to learn and develop own career. Lots of development projects and room for own initiatives. Management leads by example. Reimbursement higher than average.

Pros

Management, people and projects.

Awesome workplace

I left because i moved but i plan to go back by far my favorite job. Loved the work and the crew at least most of them. Very friendly people. They are like my work family they helped me when nobody else would. Helped me get into my car when I locked my keys in it 3 times. My supervisor also helped me get gas in my car when it died on the side of the road.

Pros

Straight 8 shifts clock in and out only once

Cons

2 breaks but both paid for.

If you need a job asap this is the place.

Pay is below average for the work you do, unless you’ve been there 5 years don’t expect more than 15 an hr. Also it’s a union shop. Management and employees are amazing that would be my only positive from that place.

It's what you call a feces show

What is the best part of working at the company?I worked for this company, they preach safety but cause nothing but chaos, management runs on the good old boy system. You will need to learn to speak 2 face to deal with these peopleWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company?Learning how to get around bad managementWhat is the work environment and culture like at the company? If you know how to navigate through woke America you might be all rightWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?Highly stressful due to the fact that there's no accountability

A few perks and a few turn offs

Overall, my time at Hendrickson was good. I learned a ton of great and relevant practices that I use today. Some managers are great and others not so much. Pay was very average. Other benefits were pretty good as far as healthcare and retirement, vacation and time off wasn't bad. It seems difficult to move up within the company and feels very much like a good old boys club at times.

Pros

Tuition reimbursement, coworkers, benefits

Cons

Advancement

People are friendly

The management is poor at best. The company gives no work life balance. They want to work you every saturday. You dont hardly have time for yourself and family because of poor planning on managements part, dont have tools or inventory to do your job. Most of production workers are negative, they have a problem retaining workers do work.

Pros

People are friendly

Cons

Management inexperience

Lot of overtime

There have been so many people that quit for so many reasons. I personally enjoyed my task that I was given and I loved the people there but over all, I probably wouldn’t work there again.

Pros

Paid lunch, Pto, paid holidays, benefits

Cons

Positive punishment, too much workloads for a single person, hardly ever a free weekend.
