I worked at HelloFresh in Newark NJ for 2 years. It started out as a job that promised growth and advancement. I have not reached any of that. The management is a click that would just fire people instead of a warning or write up. It seemed to me that since they outsourced to foreign companies they wanted to get rid of employees that they had to give raises to.
Even though they offer a career path, it’s structured in such a way that it sets you up for failure. The dynamic on how work performance is measured changes often and even if you move beyond being a regular customer Service agent to a senior agent, that’s as far as you go. The turnover is high as the environment is toxic. Learn while you can and leave when something better comes along!
Fun colleagues and challenging, sometimes rewarding job, but very long hours, gruelling work and at the mercy of the elements. Even the job pitch in the interview was misleading as there was no mention of working door-to-door. Pros: Free box of Hello Fresh every week Cons: Long, tiring work, commission only
The interview was great but they lie to much about the company. its stated that they will promote growth from within before seeking outside persons for any position. this only happens if you are really close with management ie drinking buddies or hang out outside of work (that H.S. nonsense). Not happy with concern about CC agents or better the lack there of any concerns. paid time off is a joke and bereavement time is a joke and a half. i regret promoting this company to friend that joined the company to sadly quit before a years time.
some pto some games (ice breaks for team spirit)
they do not honor the handbook nor promote
They fired a lot of people out of nowhere with signed contract for two more months even though the results of the team and work done were etremely good. Impossible working hours, treated just like a number on a paper and not a human being. Disgraceful, demotivational and degrading.
Lovely people, but hard to make friends ect as you are never on the same shift. Casual hours are horrendous one time I had 5 hours in one week. Training is good but things change a lot and if you have a few days off could be hard to catch up. The kitchen was mostly full of fly's which was a bit sickening (them tinny fly's that come around your food) Nice people though and pay was alright if you had the hours. Would not recommend for casual but I guess full time would be okay.. Not reliable or professional as I was told Via text about not coming back to work as there as no hours so they let me go.
Free box of food when you start
no hours available
HelloFresh is all about time wasting. Intern recruiters waste your time, managers waste your time, and they dont even have the courtesy to respond to correspondences. Do yourself a favor and dont even apply.
Ping pong table
I really do not remember much about working there. I just know I would not work there ever again. too much play time and down time. Not enough work getting done.
Hello Fresh has the potential to be a great place to work, however the management there makes it almost impossible to do the job well. The needs of the employees and the necessary improvements to product are not taken seriously and it becomes a recurring problem.
Great co-workers. relaxing office set p
Poor management, not muc room for significant advancement
Hellofresh is a great up and coming company to work for. Working for Hellofresh one is able to have career growth as well as food industry growth and broaden your food knowledge. I would recommend one to work for them if they never had any call center experience. Hellofresh would help one with knowledge of how a call center environment works. While they are coming into their own and trying to implement new rules to help the company expand and move more effectively. Hellofresh is still learning the concept of team players and how to make a successful work environment for all employees.
