Too much gossip and favoritism from lower management to high management. The job becomes second nature after 2 months, but just stick to yourself and ask questions; work to go home in peace. Don't overshare with coworkers, they spread gossip about your business and it becomes personal. Enjoy the job, not the people working there with you; they will use you as a stepping stone to get where they need to be.

Pros

Free employee meal

Cons

Overworked, Bad management, favoritism

They were one sided and rude to employees

What is the best part of working at the company?Double standards and favoritism What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Management’s decision and one sidedness of placing work on individuals who excel and actually work by putting majority of the work load on the individual What is the work environment and culture like at the company? They have no concern for their own employees when they cover rotations

productive and energetic

as team member that ended up being a assistant director , i loved this job. i was an opener and with in a few months i started to be a trainer and then went on to move to asst director. my day starts at 5:30am - 2pm. i opened and did morning rush and lunch and the team was amazing. when you cross train you’re team members and explain the reason it helps them understand why they are valued so much. the work place was great i made sure to be able to communicate with my team all the time and be able to assist on their day at work as much as i can. Hardest part was learning a fine line between friendships and work because everyone got so well with each other. Every was a new day & never was it boring.

Pros

Free Lunch, Sundays off

Very fast paced

The best parts about working there for almost 3 years would be your teammates for your shift, and free break food up to $10. When I first started, I only got a discount. During covid, they started doing the free break food. Go to the Christmas Parties if you can. They give away great and expensive gifts for Christmas! The downside is that they will work you to death and beg you to work more than what you asked for. If you need to leave work early, they will guilt trip you saying how “you are letting down the whole team.” Etc You have to stay busy the whole day and work usually 8-12 hours. With getting one 30 minute break. Sometimes not leaving until almost 1AM some nights due to having to clean everything after closing (after 10PM)Each shift usually dislikes each other, don’t take it personally. Usually it’s because the morning shift usually leaves everything a mess for the evening shift to clean up…Try to be buddies with the managers if possible. Can come in handy down the road if you’re are late, need some time off, or need to talk about something personal. The owners are usually the only stuck up ones you have to avoid. They will also chew up and spit out management almost as bad if not worse than the regular team members. So if your manager tells you to do something it’s most likely coming from the owner, and not them.

Pros

Free food, good friends

Cons

Short breaks, owners are super strict, absolutely no phones

Coworkers great, but management is so bad you rely on coworkers to not quit

At first they are nice when they higher you, but as you start to work there you learn that your opinion as a mere team member doesn’t matter, the people who stay are either a rare handful who don’t care, and maybe 15% of suck-ups, and the rest is everyone just staying for our coworkers, eventually you will learn that the owner/cfa corporate split profit 50/50 which does the opposite and encourages the owner to be greedy in alot of cfa’s (not all), it’s their way or no way, and most the times things are taken personal, the cfa I work at makes a lot of money, and has some of the best aha scores, but we are also the lowest paying, with a operator who rarely is seen, also, the beef between morning and night shift where we all resent the mindsets, we never help eachother out and everything becomes morning shifts or night shifts problems.

Pros

Free lunches, good coworkers, good hours

Cons

Rude, selfish, and honestly non-present management

Decent people, well-staffed, some workplace culture issues

A decent first job, the management was overall fine and the other employees were a mixed bag but overall great. Pay was fine for my age/experience but can’t imagine accepting it as a 21 yo, plus sometimes awful weather conditions outside on iPad that can be somewhat “mandated” if busy. No PTO, you just don’t get paid when you’re not clocked in. Training and advancement opportunities are good, especially if you have that perfect Chick-fil-a attitude:)

Wasn’t for me

Chik Fil A is a really easy place to work, if you work front of house. It got busy but they were well staffed so it didn’t feel busy. It’s really difficult to get more than 15 hours a week, even after talking with management. I never felt like I was apart of the team even though I worked there for a while.

Pros

Free break meals, flexible schedule

Cons

Short breaks, working in bad weather conditions, hard to get hours

This is a company that cares for its people and guests and it shows with the amount of people we serve.

What is the best part of working at the company?Culture of care for employees and guests What is the most stressful part about working at the company? It's a steady dose of work. You have to be ready to serve at all times and maybe for long times What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Excellent. Their is a family feeling and lots of ways to gain knowledge about the company and best practices. What is a typical day like for you at the company?I set the day up, run breaks and support the team, in my extra time I meet with other Managers and discuss the business and ways to make it better. I also spend time mentoring Team Leads.

Not bad beginner job

It is a good beginner job, although there’s lots of politics usually. Just depends what location you’re at. They will expect you to be very fast too even if you’re new.

Poor management, very high speed, other employees were amazing to work with, hardest part is doing everything all

The management is very poor, they’re so disgustingly rude to their employees, they did not care for anyone besides themselves. Paid way below than should. You never work in one spot, they’re always moving you constantly and throughout the day. You’ll be sweating from just running orders. Coworkers were always great

Pros

Free meal break, 30 min break nice coworkers

Cons

Poor management, selfish managers, rude owner

An enjoyable fast-food place to work for!

It was an overall fun experience working in the back-of-house. The coworkers are can range from young to old, and they're nice to be around. It is a fast-paced job that will make the time fly by depending on what tasks you end up doing. Management was good for the most part, or as far as I can remember. The hardest part of the job would have to be making sure the food is of the best quality when it's being sent out to customers especially during weird surges in orders; that and making sure everything that needs to be done for closing is done at a decent time. Oddly enough, my personal favorite moments working there have to be the team meetings along with the parties/outgoing activites that can be done with the crew. During work. however, it definitely has to be operating the machines, breading the chicken, and doing fries while listening to work-appropiate music. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with this company. Honestly, I wouldn't mind working there again especially with all that pandemic nonsense over at the time of writing this.

Pros

Everything else

Cons

Hours vary and can be long, monthlies.

Good company to get through school with

Leadership isn’t bad. Could be better sometimes. They work with you for the most part with scheduling. As long as you show effort they will be willing to work with you. Overall not a bad job.

Pros

Discount food items

Cons

Short breaks

Chick-fil-a is a great place to work either as a first job or a fulfilling lifelong career. It taught me a lot about customer service and how to handle tough situations maturely. I overall enjoyed my time there.

Worst Place Ever…

I’m in high school and this was my first job. They have favorites and they don’t treat you with respect if you’re not one of the favorites . I’ve been working there for over a year and no raise even though i’ve asked yet people who’ve worked for 5 months get more recognition. Its not a fair company I wouldn’t recommend it and it’s very hard to move up.

Pros

Free lunch, discount up to 10

Cons

15 minute breaks

Poor Managment

do NOT recommend working here. Managers are literally in college and are on their phones 24/7 but expect you to do all the work. They also pay very little ($12/hr) and have you in the heat 24/7. You have to pay for a cup which in my opinion is very stupid since you work their. Overall don't recommend working here unless you want to get told what to do by people the same age as you who don't do anything.

Pros

free break meal, flexible schedule

Cons

managers and shift leader s

Great people, decent job

-Getting the jobIt took a total of two weeks, 3 separate interviews with different people on different days, orientation was at the store and it took around an hour, overall it wasn't too bad, by the second interview I knew I was hired.-TrainingI was very under trained and to me that's the biggest complaint I have, they train you on all spots and like two hours of pathway online training in store for around a week or two, pathway useless and you won't remember anything from it, a month into the job they put me on spots I still didn't know how to do, newer coworkers were trained better than I was. They trained me once on each spot and I basically just forgot how to do it the next day-The jobI work full time back-of-house, I typically get 40 hours a week, Sunday off and another random day they choose. The job itself is meh, the raw spots are the worst, machines (frying) was my favorite spot, if I could do that and only that I'd rate it higher-ManagementSupervisors are all great, every mistake I made they helped me and they made the job a lot easier and less stressful, the directors are also good but they go by the book and rules as expected, still they are great. Same with coworkers, never had a bad experience. Only con here would be that sometimes coworkers would call off and mess the schedule up and if you close the store it'd make you get home later-Everything elseWhen I applied, I only had a social security card and no diploma, I was in a bad spot but they employed me anyway, they are great people to work for.I get paid biweekly 16 an hour, one 30-munute break -

Pros

Management, coworkers

Cons

Raw spots, poor training
