There really is work/life balance and everyone in Athena are nice. So far the most nontoxic environment I've been with. Compensation/benefits are great too.

Great for a start in career shift as EA

Training was great and learned a lot especially if you are starting your EA/VA journey. Though only a handful can be used in the actual client work if the company has a niche. Tools are not 100% provided by them nor the client so you have to be resourceful. They may overlook client-EA relationship if client is too busy to answer surveys. There are OMs who will trigger your performance anxiety if you are reported by your client without looking into the details.

Too Good to Be True!

1. They are cost-cutting so they have to terminate people from different departments. Others were pushed off the edge to resign! In fact, recently, they removed MOST of the people in a department.2. XPs who were not matched beyond 6 weeks are terminated! 3. They are losing clients because of the competitive salaries of EAs outside of Athena. 4. The strategy is to FIRE then REHIRE! They also spend too much on non-sense things then let the people sacrifice. 5. CEO keeps saying that the business is losing money You can never stay complacent with your role in Athena! For aspiring EAs, please just apply elsewhere where you can get HIGHER salary!

Operation Managers and Supervisors undergo rigorous screening and training for them to be well prepared to support our valued Executive Partners. However, rest assured that we are always reviewing our internal processes, how we communicate information, and to better reward our hardworking employees. Thank you.

Good workplace and pure remote setup

The company drives growth to its employees and provides the best benefits - health, pet care, optical, etc. Promotes work and life balance, unlike other companies. The most fun part is, you get to love your colleagues even before you meet them personally because everyone supports each other.

Fun workspace

I never thought that work can be also fun. Working with Athena brings me joy, the community help each other in a way you never expected. When you ask something, everyone is eager to help you out.

Great Place to Be In

Working here in Athena gave me that work-life balance I've been wanting for a long time. Everyone in the organization is helpful. The only stressful part of my journey here is the first week of training and the waiting during the nesting period.

Pros

Salary is always on time; Sense of community across the organization

Cons

Training was difficult but you will have a lot of key takeaways after.

Making Time Truly Matter

Loving the remote work set up and the opportunity to take back control of my life and time freedom. That is such a priceless feat. I love also the people that I work with, everyone is just nice and professional and very accommodating.

Extremely challenging and will push you to your limits, but you'll learn a lot!

I enjoyed the challenging NHO process and learned a lot of skills (i.e. travel management, inbox management, calendar management, events planning, and so on).

Athena provides a competitive salary and such good benefits

I will rate 10/10 Athena because they really pay high and they provide good benefits, especially to health benefits. They have HMO plus 1 free dependent and you are also entitled to get 20,000 pesos for pet health coverage

A challenge worth taking.

1. Application Process: I admit, answering the initial assessment was daunting. The first time I took it, I failed. Thankfully, I passed the second take. Tip: Be resourceful. And USE A LAPTOP or PC.2. Interview: As an introvert, I spent a lot of time preparing for the interview by watching and practicing answers to common job interview questions. However, the majority of the actual interview questions were situational. TIP: Practice answering situational interview questions confidently. And, demonstrate your executive presence all throughout the 45 min interview.3. Job Offer Discussion and onwards: I am still going to undergo some training, I'm impressed with how thoroughly they explain the hiring process. Setting clear expectations through video conferences and sending emails with detailed instructions is extremely beneficial.4. Surviving the application phase is difficult due to the standard that they are attempting to set and maintain. But once you get the job and training, it's all worth it.

They have free trial tools on training, don't leave your current job for this company

In reality, their training is not intended for learning, it is for them to know who already have the skill they need. Their trainers are just there to give you an 8h task that you need to accomplish within an hour or two. This company is recommended for thos who have VA experience not for newbies.They will not help you learn.

Challenging but worth it!

The interview and training was really difficult but as they say, nothing good comes easy. All the hardships and challenges I encountered is all worth it. Happy to be a part of Athena!

Permanent work from home, Work-Life Balance is legit, Great culture and management, High salary (weekly payout), HMO and Pet support.

Cons

It is still a relatively new company but so far so good as of the moment
