Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of our group of companies. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ATO and ASIC regulations while handling key accounting functions efficiently.

Part Time Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Process weekly payroll and ensure compliance with relevant tax and employment laws
  • Prepare and lodge quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS)
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns in coordination with external accountants

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a busy accounting firm managing multiple clients
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, ATO, and ASIC compliance
  • Proficiency in Xero and Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
