Reports to: Site Supervisor

Job Summary: The Gaming Assistant/Cashier handles all cash transactions, maintains accurate records, and ensures the security of funds within the cashier’s booth. They assist players with account transactions, gaming needs, and inquiries while also maintaining the cleanliness and order of the site, monitoring supplies, and performing basic troubleshooting and other assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for everything inside the Cashier’s booth, especially cash related to sales, petty cash, cash float, and revolving funds, ensuring organization and proper management
  • Greet players upon arrival and departure, providing new players with an introduction to the games and gaming experience at all BGI sites
  • Prepare the POS terminal and accurately process player transactions including load, reload, and redemption
  • Verify authenticity of bills and checks using a money detector
  • Regularly monitor and reconcile the cash box with the Daily Sales Report (DSR), updating reports as needed
  • Complete assigned reports and ensure proper cash turnover and report endorsement during shift changes
  • Monitor gross hold and revolving funds to cover player redemptions; anticipate large wins and coordinate emergency fund replenishments with Customer Service when necessary
  • Prepare daily cash deposits or arrange for collection by authorized messengers
  • Contact Customer Service for cash-related issues, emergency replenishments, deposits, and technical support; perform basic troubleshooting as needed
  • Assist players with gaming needs, prepare gaming terminals, and ensure equipment functionality
  • Offer food and drinks to players if available
  • Help players reload accounts and verify amounts before handing cash to the cashier
  • Address player inquiries to ensure they are well-served
  • Document relevant events during shifts (e.g., incidents, visits from regulators or company officials)
  • Oversee housekeeping by coordinating with utility staff or taking responsibility if no staff is available
  • Monitor and replenish stocks and supplies at the site
  • Perform other specific duties assigned to the site

Qualifications/Education:

  • At least a junior or senior high school graduate.

Experience/Skills:

  • No professional experience is required; related internships are a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
