URGENT HIRING | Purchasing Assistant

Wallem Maritime Services, Inc. (WMSI) is urgently looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our Purchasing Department.

If you are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to build a career in procurement and supply chain operations, this is an excellent opportunity to grow with one of the leading maritime companies in the Philippines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Verify Purchase Requests (PRs) and prepare Purchase Orders (POs)
  • Source and canvass at least three (3) suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
  • Monitor deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of purchase orders
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments regarding procurement requirements
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier records
  • Assist in invoice verification and other administrative functions
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve product defects and service-related concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Applicants must be a college graduate in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in Purchasing or Procurement is preferred. Fresh graduates with relevant procurement internship or OJT experience are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, trustworthy, resilient, and able to work under pressure
