Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Nursing, or Medical Technology underboard).

Job Description:

• Receives and encodes patient demographics and requests without error. This includes sample temperature is acceptable, sample count and batch sheet are tallied.
• Checks specimen acceptability and suitability. Inform clients on rejection criteria and if needed, possible repeat collection.
• Performs sample centrifugation and delivers promptly to respective department.
• Contacts and coordinates with other laboratory for send out tests and informs department and clients on details of the test.
• Facilitates send out of outsourced tests. This includes filling out of send out form, LOA or fund preparation, dispatch of sample to referral laboratory.
• File batch sheets, decontamination logs, centrifuge maintenance logs and ensuring that these are completely filled out prior to archiving.
• Prepares, accepts and conducts endorsements to signal acknowledgement thru emails.
• Maintains a clean and orderly workplace.
