Job Summary

The Assistant Barista supports the Barista in preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages while ensuring excellent customer service for club members, guests, and event attendees. The role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, assisting with food and beverage preparation, and ensuring the café or beverage station operates efficiently in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Barista in preparing and serving coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to standard recipes.
• Prepare and serve light food items and refreshments, as required.
• Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service to club members, guests, and event attendees.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, equipment, utensils, and work area.
• Wash and sanitize coffee equipment, pitchers, utensils, and other tools after use.
• Replenish coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, and other supplies to ensure continuous operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the immediate supervisor.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food and beverage items in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries of café supplies.
• Support café operations during peak hours, club events, and special functions.
• Follow company policies, standard operating procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Barista, Café Supervisor, or Management.

Qualifications

• At least a Senior High School Graduate; vocational or college-level education in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Services, or a related field is an advantage.
• Experience in a café, coffee shop, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality establishment is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service is an advantage.
• Willing to learn espresso machine operation and coffee-making techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift café supplies when necessary.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and during special events.
• Honest, dependable, and team-oriented.
