JOB SUMMARY:

The Restaurant Training Officer supports the implementation and delivery of training programs that enhance the skills, service quality, and operational knowledge of Amici operations team members. Working closely with the Training Manager, the Training Officer helps assess training needs, conducts engaging training sessions, and ensures alignment with the company’s Vision, Mission, Values, and Service Standards. This role plays a key part in staff onboarding, customer service development, and fostering a continuous learning culture within the organization.

SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. TRAINING EXECUTION AND DELIVERY

1. Conduct onboarding, in-person, and online training sessions across various levels of Amici team members including Managers, Food Servers, and Line Cooks.

2. Train team members on customer service excellence, food safety, and operational standards based on programs approved by the Training Manager.

3. Assist in the preparation and delivery of induction and orientation programsfor newly hired Amici team member.

4. Ensure all training activities are consistent with company values, service goals, and operational guidelines.

B. TRAINING DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT

1. Collaborate with the Training Manager to help design and implement structured training programs.

2. Assist in creating and updating training materials, manuals, and visual content to keep training content current and engaging.

3. Participate in regular TNA and collaborate in identifying development gaps.

4. Stay informed of industry trends and support integration of best practices in training content.

C. MONITORING AND EVALUATION

1. Conduct regular store visits to observe application of training, gather feedback, and monitor staff performance.

2. Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback tools, and coaching sessions, and submit insights to the Training Manager.

3. Help in analyzing training data and recommending improvements to training methods, content, and delivery.

D. ADMINISTRTATIVE AND REPORTING

1. Prepare training activity reports, attendance logs, evaluation summaries, and other necessary documentations.

2. Provide the Training Manager with regular updates and recommendations based on observations, feedback, and performance metrics.

3. Support tracking of training completions and compliance with training schedules.

E. OTHERS

1. Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

o Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant or Hospitality Management, Human Resources, Education, Mass Communication, or any related field

o Certification in Training and Development is an advantage

o Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the food and beverage industry, specifically within casual dining operations, with at least three (3) years in a training or supervisory role

o Solid understanding of food and service operations, customer service standards, and restaurant industry best practices

o Proven experience in delivering and supporting training programs, including participation in Training Needs Analysis (TNA)

o Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic database tools
