Structural Engineer – Structural Steel / Heavy Civil

Employment Type: Part-Time

IMPORTANT SKILL: Has experience with LGS (Light Gauge Steel) / CFS (Cold Formed Steel) Structures and can provide portfolio.

Role Overview: We are looking for a seasoned Project Engineer specializing in structural steel and heavy civil construction to support large-scale infrastructure developments. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design and reality. You will drive project success by coordinating engineering workflows, resolving technical bottlenecks on-site, and ensuring seamless alignment among design teams, fabricators, and field execution crews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of complex heavy civil and structural steel initiatives to meet key deliverables.
  • Technical Support: Review and coordinate engineering drawings, technical specifications, and documentation for steel fabrication, welding, and field erection.
  • Problem Solving & Constructability: Collaborate closely with engineers, fabricators, and subcontractors to troubleshoot design challenges and resolve field constructability issues.
  • Risk & Compliance: Identify potential project risks early, implement effective solutions to keep timelines on track, and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and project standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear, ongoing communication between project teams, subcontractors, stakeholders, and executive leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer managing high-value heavy civil or public infrastructure projects, preferably with a large General Contractor.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of structural steel systems—specifically fabrication, welding, and erection workflows—along with industry codes (e.g., AISC, AWS, Eurocodes).
  • Software Proficiency: * Design & Analysis: AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Revit, Vertex BD or other equivalent software and STAAD.Pro (or equivalent).
  • Management: Familiarity with BIM workflows and standard construction management software.
  • Core Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong multitasking skills, and excellent collaborative communication.

Preferred Attributes

  • Professional Engineer (PE / SE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Direct experience working on public infrastructure projects.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Php15,000.00 - Php23,000.00 per month

Benefits:

  • Work from home
