About the role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary College Dean (Maritime) to lead the Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation at our Cavite campus. This is a full-time position and represents a pivotal leadership opportunity within our institution. As College Dean, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, academic excellence, and operational effectiveness of the BSMT college. This role is central to achieving our institutional mission and ensuring that our programs remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the College of Marine Transportation, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives and industry trends
• Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programs and curriculum
• Manage college operations, including budget planning, resource allocation, and financial sustainability
• Lead and mentor faculty members, fostering a culture of professional development, research excellence, and pedagogical innovation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and institutional policies
• Facilitate industry partnerships and collaborations to enhance student learning outcomes and employability
• Oversee student recruitment, retention, and success initiatives within the college
• Represent the college in institutional committees, academic forums, and external stakeholder engagements
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage personnel matters within the college
• Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across all college operations

What we're looking for

• PhD in Marine Transportation, Maritime Transportation, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education, with at least 5 years in a dean-level or equivalent senior administrative role
• Proven track record of academic program development, accreditation, and quality assurance in technology-focused institutions
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams and foster collaborative working relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with faculty, students, administrators, and external stakeholders
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
• Experience in curriculum development and alignment with industry requirements and international standards
• Commitment to student-centered learning and demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and retention rates
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, accreditation bodies, and compliance requirements in Philippine higher education
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage
