Country Village Hotel looking for Restaurant Waiter who is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences by taking accurate food and beverage orders, delivering meals, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort guests to their tables in a warm and welcoming manner.
  • Present the menu and provide detailed information about dishes, including portion sizes, ingredients, and potential allergens.
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glassware before service.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, order slips, or memorization techniques.
  • Deliver meals and beverages promptly and professionally to guests.
  • Make menu recommendations and inform guests of daily specials or promotions.
  • Check customer satisfaction throughout the meal and resolve any issues quickly and politely.
  • Upsell additional menu items, such as beverages or desserts, without being pushy.
  • Verify customer age requirements for alcoholic beverage consumption.
  • Communicate order details clearly to kitchen staff and ensure timely preparation.
  • Inspect dishes and utensils for cleanliness and presentation, reporting any issues to management.
  • Maintain a tidy dining area, including proper table arrangements.
  • Process payments accurately, including handling cash, credit cards, and providing change.
  • Clear tables and transport dirty dishes and utensils to the kitchen for cleaning.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings to review daily specials, menu changes, and service guidelines.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to create a memorable dining experience.

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven experience as a Waiter or Waitress in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Revel or Toast.
  • Basic math skills for accurate billing and payments.
  • Strong communication, active listening, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; food safety certification is a plus.
