Job description:

Scope and Responsibility:

1. Prepares and cooks food according to standard recipes

2. Maintains proper hygiene and sanitation at all time

Duties:

1. Checks all mise en place (in his/her section) for freshness on a daily base.

2. Replenish mise en place (in his/her section) in a timely manner.

3. Follows standard recipes at all times.

4. Follows basic cutting standards at all times.

5. Maintain cleanliness at his/her work station at all time.

6. Controls and minimize wastage.

7. Ensures that "first in first out" is followed strictly in all aspects of his/her work.

8. Controls expenses and breakages.

9. Ensures that all kitchen equipment and utensil are used in a proper manner.

10. Reads and follows daily BEO and logbook.

11. Assist his/her superior in all job-related duties.

12. Informs his superior immediately if there is a shortage of ingredients or mise en place.

13. Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.

Education:

At least College degree, Hotel and Restaurant Management

Experience:

1 year in similar position

Worked in up market hotels or restaurants

Special Skills:

Some knowledgeable in pastry, hot or cold kitchen

Well motivated and enthusiastic about food

Speaks fluent English

Positive Interpersonal working relationship

Willing to work long and odd hours
