About the Role:

Dingo Offshoring and ICT is looking for Junior NOC Engineers for an independent IT services and consulting company based in Melbourne (Australia) that operates across a range of technologies and vendors. Our focus areas are desktop virtualisation, networking, cloud and security.

We are looking for passionate individuals who can work independently and proactively with a focus on Customer Service and Time Management. You will be part of the Network Operations Team and provide 24/7 support for our customers.

Successful applicants will be mentored throughout the first six (6) to twelve (12) months of employment. During this period, they are expected to obtain additional technical vendor certifications.

Recent graduates with some work experience or certification are preferred. The candidate must possess a bachelor's or college degree in computer science/information technology or engineering (computer/telecommunication) or equivalent.

Technical Requirements:

  • Experience/knowledge in Cloud Technologies - Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Experience in deploying and configuring virtual machines in the Cloud.
  • Experience/knowledge in security, connectivity, redundancy and other aspects of Cloud solution.
  • Experience with Windows Server technology
  • With understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP etc.
  • Familiar or experienced with deploying and configuring Windows Server infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, Basic Routing and Switching etc).
  • Knowledge and familiarity of client operating systems particularly Windows and Linux/BSD.
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting is beneficial
  • Knowledge of website development (HTTP, Javascript, Php, ASP.NET, xml, etc)
  • Any vendor certifications would be highly valued (i.e., CCNA, MCSE, RHCE, etc)
  • Experience/knowledge with VMWARE vSphere, Microsoft Hyper V, Citrix
  • Experience with monitoring virtual machines and host performance.
  • Able to analyze resource usage. (CPU, Memory Storage, Network.)
  • Experience in lifecycle management of virtual machines.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues.
  • Experience with Helpdesk ticketing system or monitoring tools

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 24/7 Technical Support (On roster)
  • Handling Service Desk Ticketing System and providing break-fix and issue resolution.
  • Daily health checks and ensure all systems are running at the appropriate version, service pack and security Levels
  • Initial customer contact and diagnosis
  • Attend product training and complete them as per the schedule
  • Prepare/update technical documents
  • Technical presentation as part of sales meeting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or college degree in computer science/information technology or engineering (computer/telecommunication) or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills: this role requires high interaction with customers at all organizational levels
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Willingness to work on shifting schedules
  • Requirement for some interstate and overseas travel
